The Perfect Gift
I was thinking today about how God sent his Son to us. It was motivated by love, a love willing to give his most precious gift. God realized that we were unable to ever live good enough to go to heaven when we die. He knew that there was only one way. He sent His Son. Jesus was born and He grew and live a perfect example so we could learn from His life. Then He was rejected and crucified maliciously. God knew Jesus would be rejected and that He would not only be crucified but all the powers of hell would torment him at His death. He took all the torment that you and I deserve and He willingly let others beat him and crucify Him. We know it was willingly because the bible says He would lay down His life for us . The bible tells us He was God in the flesh and He could of destroyed all His enemies if He wanted to but He didn't. You know Why? Because of love. He loved us even when we didn't love him. He served as a perfect example of love yet, The majority did not want His love, they wanted something else more than God. Some people thought they were good enough, that is when someone is too prideful to see his own sin. Some wanted to follow other Gods that have no love neither could they hear or see because they were not real. God is real and has real love. He loves you and He wants you to become His child no matter your age, no matter your race, no matter what you've done. You and I are the reason God gave His Son. That my dear ones is why Christmas is so wonderful and that is why He IS, the perfect gift.

Christmas Is All About Christ - Restored August 17th, 2014
Christmas Is All About Christ
Miss Busy: Kacee, Kacee, Kacee, I have another question. Can you help me?
Kacee: Sure, Miss Busy. What is it? I am always happy to answer your questions and help.
Miss Busy: Well I’m confused, what is Christmas really all about? All my friends talk about shopping and giving presents. They tell me it is ALLLLL about the presents. Whoever gets the biggest, bestest, most expensive gift has the best Christmas ever! They tell me that if their parents don’t get what they want for Christmas they would be so unhappy. I mean is it all about presents, dazzling lights, Christmas trees, snow, and delicious food? I mean I LOVE…just ABSOLUTELY LOVE Christmas cookies and ham and ooooo everything about Christmas! But there has to be more to Christmas than that!
Kacee: You’re right Miss Busy. Christmas is more than that. Christmas is the birthday of a King. Yes, giving presents is nice, so is pretty lights, Christmas trees, snow and yummy Christmas cookies. But….Christmas is all about Christ. Look at the first 6 letters of Christmas and what do you find?
Miss Busy: Hmmmmm C-H-R-I-S-T Ohhhhhh Christ! It spells Christ.
Kacee: That’s right Miss Busy. Jesus was sent to this world in a form of a Baby. He was born in a manger in a stable many years ago.
Miss Busy: Yeah, just like the manger scene display they have at church.
Kacee: Do you know why Jesus came to earth Miss Busy?
Miss Busy: Well, I know Jesus came to earth to die on the cross for our sins so we could go to heaven one day.
Kacee: That’s exactly right. Now Christmas is when we celebrate the birthday of Jesus. It really isn’t about all those presents. It is only about one gift…that is the gift of salvation. Jesus has a special gift for anyone who will receive it. He came to this world to die on the cross to pay a price we could not pay for our sins. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Do you know what ALL means Miss Busy?
Miss Busy: Well, EVERYTHING….EVERYONE.
Kacee: That’s right, All…everyone has sinned according to the Word of God. Our sin separates us from God. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 “The wages of sin is death...” Wages is something we earn, so it is saying that because of our sin we deserve death, that is a spiritual death in hell.
Miss Busy: That’s not the end of the verse…I’ve heard this one at church. …”The wages of sin is death BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Kacee: Very good Miss Busy. Yes, this Christmas God has a gift for you. That is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. This is talking about heaven. The only way to receive this gift is through Jesus Christ. We must know we have sinned, ask the Lord to forgive us our sins, and believe that He died on the cross and rose again.
Miss Busy: Oh yes, the Bible says in Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Kacee: You probably know this verse too Miss Busy. John 3:16. Will you say it with me?
Miss Busy: Sure thing.
Miss Busy and Kacee: “For God so love the world that He gave His only Begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Kacee: See Miss Busy, Christmas is all about Christ and His gift of salvation.
Miss Busy: Thank-you Kacee. It is so easy to forget the real meaning of Christmas. I am going to tell all my friends about the true meaning of Christmas and Jesus’s special gift He has for them this Christmas. I might make Em’ some Christmas cookies too because I LOOOOVE Christmas cookies. Yummmm! Bye.
Kacee: Have you accepted this gift of salvation? If not, just pray to the Lord and mean it with your heart, ask him to forgive you of your sins, tell Him you believe He died on that cross just for you and rose again. Ask Him to be the savior of your life this Christmas. He will save you. Don’t delay accept this gift today.

No Room For Jesus
Objects needed for object lesson puppet show:
girl puppet, a box that has the word TIME on it... big enough to overload with
Christmas Stuff. Christmas cookie, wrapped gift, Christmas bulb
, Drawn picture of puppet family , some garland, small strand of lights, Can Of
Green Beans, A feather duster, Christmas card, Christmas Stocking, A gift catalog
and a small bible with a piece of paper on it that says Jesus.
Casey: Hello Everyone,
We have a visitor here today who
has a problem. She wants us to help her figure out what to do. Her name is Miss Busy. Would you like to meet her? (pause)
Miss busy! We are ready for you! Let's all say Hi to Miss busy. ( Everyone Says, Hi Miss Busy)
Miss Busy: Hello friends, ( pause and wave) I have
a big problem and I don't know how to fix it.
I have all these things I need to
do. I have tons of Christmas Cards I
need to sign and send to friends, I need
to do bunches of Christmas shopping. Then I have gobs of Christmas presents to wrap
and put big bows on them. I have all
these stockings to fill with goodies, I have a bunch of food baskets to fill
for the poor and they need to be delivered.
I have all kinds of yummy cookies to make with lots of sprinkles. I need to decorate the tree with bulbs and
pretty lights and decorate throughout the house. But before I do that I have to make sure the
house is clean. I barely have any room
for family, but the biggest problem of all is I don't have any room for
Jesus. I can't even fit that in. I really need some help. Can you all help me I just can't figure it
out by myself. Casey, can you help me?
Casey: Sure . I'll
help you Miss Busy, Let's see, let's
take everything out of this box marked time.
( Take things out showing the kids what all is in the box and set it
aside). We're going to reorganize -
Let's put Jesus in first every day, then He will always have room. Then we can fill our time with everything
else we need to do.
Miss Busy: Now why didn't I think of that. Let's put Jesus in first, Then my family's
needs, Then everything else I need to do.
(Casey puts everything back so everything fits in the box) Look! it all fit in! Can you believe that? Wow, Thank-you Casey from now on I'm going to
take care of the most important things first.
Then Jesus will help me fit in everything else I need to do.
Casey: You know what Miss Busy, all this has reminded me of
a verse I learned a long time ago. We
call it the Greatest Commandment. The
bible says in: Mark 12:30 thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Miss Busy: And what a
special gift to give Jesus - to love Him best of all. By putting Him first in everything we do.
I guess we all need reminded because life can get busy
sometimes.....
Thank -you so much for helping me, I sure do appreciate all
the help I can get. You All Have a
fantasssssstic Christmas By putting HIM
first. ... Buy!
Casey: Buy miss busy
thanks for visiting.
Casey: I think we should
pray today and ask the Lord to help us do a better job at putting Him first. Let
Us Pray---Dear Jesus, Help us love you
more. Teach us how to put you first in
all that we do. We should never give
you second place. Help us to love you more as we celebrate your birth
this Christmas. Merry Christmas Jesus.

Jesus Was Born On Christmas Day
Children's Poem
Jesus was born on Christmas day;
He would grow up;
To die and wash our sins away.
Jesus was born on Christmas day;
The guiding light;
He's the Truth, the Life, the Way.
Jesus was born on Christmas day:
Hope of heaven;
He would provide the only way.
Jesus was born on Christmas day;
The living Word;
Mary gently kissed, gently swayed.
Jesus was born on Christmas day;
Wonderful day:
He was our God upon the hay.
