Luck Has Nothing to Do With It - Song
Luck Has
Nothing to Do With It
God sent
his Son; it was all about Love.
Jesus
paid the price with his holy blood.
It was
all about Love; it was all about Love.
He was
sinless and pure a snow-white dove.
Luck had
nothing to do with it because...
We can
not live good enough you see.
It’s
only through Jesus that we can be.
Saved
and washed from sin eternally.
It was
all about Love; it was all about Love.
Luck had
nothing to do with it because...
It has everything
to do with God’s love for me and you.
He cried,
he died, His blood was shed for all.
It was
all about Love; it was all about Love.
Luck had
nothing to do with it because...
It has
everything to do with God’s love.
You say,
maybe I have lived good enough.
But our Savior
has already paid the price.
Luck had
nothing to do with it because;
You can
know that you have eternal life.
It was
all about Love; it was all about Love.
Luck had
nothing to do with it because...
It has everything
to do with God’s love for me and you.

God Has a Purpose for You
Growing In Faith - A Guide #3
Growing In Faith - A Guide
The bible
teaches us that without faith it is impossible to please God. Without faith, it
is impossible to be saved. Without faith, it’s impossible to have your prayer answered.
Without faith, there are no righteous miracles. God says if we do not have faith not to expect
anything from him.
It is
through faith that we grow by obedience, faith will cause you to obey because
you truly have faith in what the bible teaches.
Rebellion to God’s word and to what God wants us to do has shown that
you have chosen not to believe God.
If we truly believe
something we act upon it. If you believe
you believe something is going to hit you in the head, you will move out of its
way. Your moving is evidence that you
believe. If you believe what God says
then there will be evidence of that belief.
Romans 10: 10
[10] For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
When
you truly believe you will have righteous actions that come along with that
belief.
God
teaches us that just a little faith can cause great things to happen.
Luke
11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek,
and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For
us to live of faith we must first accept Christ into our heart and life by
faith. By faith you will seek, you will knock
and you will ask. Once you have trusted
Christ, Christ lives within you and will help guide you in every choice you make.
Sometimes
it will be hard to do what’s right and by faith, you will do what God wants you
to do and God will get you through.
Life
is not easy and your faith will be tried and because you have the comforter,
you can communicate to God your struggle, your grief, and any doubt that you
may have. By faith, you will stay
faithful to him through both good and bad.
Good and bad have happened to every person, but a person of faith will continue
to trust God and obey him, through it all.
You grow by continuing by faith, to learn of God, to obey God, to praise
God, and to depend on God.
By
faith resist what is wrong and cling to our God our King. Do not go back to the slavery of Egypt. You are his child and you will never have
peace in your sin. Egypt is a picture
of sin, slavery, and hell. God has no
pleasure in those who turn back in their unbelief. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom. If you have already turned in
the wrong direction run back to God and repent. It may feel he’s far away, but
he has never left you. You left
him. By faith, return to God and he will
hold you to his heart. Just as a mother
or father forgives their little one.
Faith brings actions of faith; it is through or successes and our
failures that we grow in faith. God
shows us mercy as we believe and trust him.
I’m still learning every day. Our problems change and through each problem, there is a new learning time. Continue
trusting God and obeying him. Confess
your doubts, your fears, and keep your hand in the hand of God. Just as a small child wants to go off on his
own, is in danger, so are we when we let go of God the Father’s hand to go do
whatever we will. God will chasten us because we belong to him.
We need to fear him and turn back to him.
God says in…..
Revelations
3:19 - As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and
repent.
Read
your bible, grow in the truth and knowledge of the Lord. Stay close to your church family, go to
church, continue in prayer and resist the devil. Confess your sin on a daily basis, pray for
each other. We are all in a spiritual
battle. There is an old song that says, “Keep
your hand in the hand of the man that calms the sea.” If you continue by faith in the things of
God, you will know peace and you will know joy.

Jesus In Our Heart - A Guide # 2
Jesus In Our Heart
Baptism is a picture of what happens to you when you become
saved. We without Christ are dead in our
sins. Separated from God. Once a person believes in the Lord Jesus
Christ. Something happens. They become alive to God because Jesus Christ
through the Holy Spirit comes into their heart.
When we are baptized, we are emersed under the water, buried
in the likeness of Christ, and arising to new life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony and an example, to all,
that we have been saved and have become born to God as his dear child. We were dead to God, but now, made alive unto
God.
This is exactly what happens when we become born again. By
faith, our sins are washed away. The
blood of Christ shed for us was applied upon the acceptance of Christ Jesus
into our life. We spiritually are risen into
a new life and beginning. We have been
adopted into the family of God.
The Holy Spirit is Jesus in our hearts but is called the Comforter
in scripture. The comforter is with us
and in us. Jesus in our hearts. We can pray and Jesus helps our feeble prayers,
He speaks for us with perfect prayers even when we don’t know how to say what
needs to be asked. When you worship God,
you can feel his presence with you. He
is there for you to help you through life’s troubles.
All acceptable good works are through Christ alone. Our righteousness is as filthy rags to God.
Isaiah 64:6 ¶ But we are all as an unclean thing, and all
our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.
Good works of any kind are excepted by people. They are commended and looked up to. People normally reward people for doing good
things. Many are known for their
wonderful gift of charity. However, God
does not accept our goodness as righteousness but as filthy rags. That is why the crown we receive in heaven
will be laid at the feet of Christ. Christ
within us and his working through us is the only righteousness accepted by
God. Not of good that I have done, but
only what Christ has done through us.
That only happens if we accept Christ and the shedding of his blood for
our sins.
The Holy Spirit does not testify of himself, He testifies of
Jesus. This is why we pray in the name
of Jesus Christ and do all things in Jesus Christ’s name.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all
in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:23 And
whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
God offers the gift of salvation to whoever wants it.
John 3:15 -17 That whosoever believeth in him should not
perish but have eternal life.
For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Jesus Talks
about the Comforter
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you
another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever;
John 14:26 But the
Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 15:26 ¶ But when
the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the
Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:7 ¶
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for
if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will
send him unto you.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot
bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye
abide in me.

Some lesson afterthoughts...
Jesus was baptized at thirty years old, as our example. Not one baby was baptized by emersion or sprinkling in the bible. Each person should understand what they are doing. Baptism is the first step of obedience as a Christian.

The Little Candle Said
The Little Candle Said
The candle
said in the wind.
I’m just
a tiny light, a light so small.
I’m not
sure if anyone;
Could
see to get around with me at all.
If I were a star up in the night sky.
To those who are lost in sin.
Shining for Jesus as the time goes by.
I would
shine upon the day.
Our trembling
Savior drew his last breath.
The lightning
flashed ‘cross the sky;
The
elements grieved at our Savior’s death.
Jesus was
dead, with bowed head.
He had
no life, no thought, and no heartbeat.
Screams
were heard in the darkness.
The
earth shook and opened beneath their feet.
The
candle said to the sky.
I’m just
a tiny light, a light so small.
I’m not
sure if anyone;
Could
see to get around with me at all.
I would
be a guiding light.
If I
were a star up in the night sky.
To those
who are lost in sin.
Shining for
Jesus as the time goes by.
I would
shine upon the day.
The
angel rolled the stone from the tomb’s door.
To see
that it was empty.
Now in
Christ, there is life forevermore.
In the presence
of angels.
Mary and others, their joy could be heard.
Jesus
arose from the dead.
They ran
to tell the others the good word.
Many miracles
happened.
Many
Saints arose from the open graves.
The
unbelieving believed.
They
were saved on that day, thank God, Jesus saves.
The
candle said to the land.
I’m just
a tiny light, a light so small.
I’m not
sure if anyone;
Could
see to get around with me at all.
I would
be a guiding light.
If I
were a star up in the night sky.
To those
who are lost in sin.
Shining for
Jesus as the time goes by.
Where I
am needed, I’ll be.
I would
give light in a place without light.
Not me,
but Jesus they’ll see.
For his
light is the light that will shine through me.
Then the
little candle sang.
“This
light of mine, I’m going shine for you.
Jesus’ help
me give more light.
Help me,
help others always see you.

The little candle
was shining all along.
I changed the song to say Mary and others. The bible does not say Martha was there. I'm not going to change the audio. If you would like for me to change it, let me know and I will change it.
Luke 24:10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. (Martha could have been there)
Matthew 28:1-19
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Becoming God's Child - A Guide # 1
Becoming
God’s Child
Many
people want to say that because God made people from the beginning
that we
are all God’s children. However, the
bible teaches us that because
sin entered into the world through the sin of
one man. (Adam) All men and
women are
born into sin and know not God. This is
why we tell people the
Good News
of Christ Jesus. God sent his only begotten
Son to die for our sins.
God loves us that much that he made a way for
people to be saved from the
judgement to come. He has given us the only way to be
saved. Jesus tells us
in
scripture that HE IS The WAY. There is a
children’s song called “One Way
and Only
One.” When we believe what the bible
says about Jesus giving his
life for
us. When we believe the Gospel of John
3:16 and believe in his resurrection.
Then our heart becomes alive unto God. Our heart, meaning, the very being of who
we are,
understands for the first time, that God has given us the only way of
salvation.
There is
nothing within us that is good enough to earn salvation. Without the salvation
that God
has offered to all, there would be no possible way to heaven for anyone.
Without
Christ, upon our death we would enter a hopeless tormenting hell that has
no
end. God loved us enough to make a way
for that not to happen. God’s not
willing
that any
should perish but that all should be saved.
He has provided the Way.
The
question is are you going his way or your own way. He tells us in his Word our
ways are
the ways of death but his way is to life eternal.

John17:3
And this
is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God,
and Jesus
Christ, whom thou hast sent
Proverbs 14:12 ¶ There is a way which
seemeth right unto a man,
but the
end thereof are the ways of death.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord
is not slack concerning his promise,
as some
men count slackness; but is longsuffering
to us-ward, not willing that any should
perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
Romans 3:23
For all
have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
2 Corinthians 4:3
But if our
gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
John 3:16
For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 1:12

as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons ( or daughters) of God, even
to them that believe on his name:

Saint Patrick Was A Slave
Testimony Of Saint Patrick
Saint Patrick was taken against his will from his family in Britain
as a 16-year-old boy. He was taken
across the waters in a boat headed for Ireland.
There he was sold as a slave to a rich leader. He was given the job of herding swine. He toiled in slavery for six years. His life of servitude was a time of great
suffering and misery. He lived in
poverty, filth, and dirt. Many times, He
was desperately cold and hungry. He
described himself as a stone stuck in the mud.
When Patrick regained his freedom, he started preaching the
gospel that Baptist preachers preach today.
Patrick found the Lord Jesus, sometime during the 6 years he was in
slavery. He confessed he did not know the
true God as a 16-year-old boy, but while in a strange land, The Lord God opened
his unbelieving eyes to the truth of the Gospel. He confessed his sins to the Lord and turned
his life over to the Lord God wholeheartedly.
God became a father to him and comforted him as a father does his
children.
He started loving the Lord God more and more. The Spirit of God moved him to pray many
prayers. He prayed both day and night
while in the forest and in the mountain herding his flock. He suffered severe
cold, rain and frost. The Lord helped
him and he became eager to learn more and more.
He loved to think about God and God’s Word became a fire in his
soul.
Patrick was saved as a slave, the Holy Spirit greatly moved within his heart. He became a preacher to the
lost, the idol worshippers, the heathen of Ireland.
He was recognized by the Catholics as a Saint because he
lived blamelessly, but He was Baptist in his doctrine and beliefs.
This is just a small bit of the testimony of Saint Patrick. We can learn from his life and his struggles
today. We can understand that Patrick still
had problems but God was there for him and comforted him through his
sufferings.

Keeping Our Hearts Clean - Psalms 119:9 Memory Verse
Most of the snow is melted away, but the ground is really wet. You know what that means don’t you. “Mud”. It’s hard to keep your shoes clean and it sometimes can get tracked in your house – if you do not wipe your feet or take them off. We need to wash our shoes off if they get muddy.
How many of you have a dog? What if he gets out in the mud? So you have to clean the dog off before he
comes back into the house. If you don’t he could make your house really
dirty.
We have to wash our hands every day. Cleansing our hands keeps germs from
spreading. We need to wash our hands if
they get dirty.
We need to take a bath with water, soap, and a washcloth to keep
ourselves clean and healthy. We need to wash up if we are not clean.
We need to wash our clothes so that we can have clean fresh
smelling clothes to wear.
We have to cleanse our teeth by brushing them, So our breath won’t stink and so we will not get a cavity. Flossing is important too, so cavities do not happen between your teeth.
We need to keep our house clean. We need to wash our dishes. We need to keep our cars clean.
These are good rules for us to stay happy and healthy.
I brought some things to help us think about our topic today.
Ask one of the children to choose something from the box.
Talk about each item in the box as they take turns choosing
something
from the box.
----
This is the last thing in the box. - The Bible helps us keep clean
Let's Remember this little Rhyme.
This is our poem for today. Ha Ha
Read It and Heed It. Read It and Heed It.
Let’s read our bible verse together. It is a verse about being
clean.
Psalms 119: Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by
taking heed thereto according to thy word.
If time allows, go through and verbally fill in the blanks of each page.
Our bible verse today talks about being clean. Every Christian can apply this verse to their
life.
We need to keep our hearts and lives clean so that our
relationship with God and others is not hindered.
How do we keep our hearts and lives clean as Christians? I'm not talking about the physical part of ourselves but our hearts and minds. What we choose to do each day. Like what we watch on television, what kind of music we listen to or what we read and don't read. What we talk about with other people or what we hear people say. What activities we choose to do or people we choose to hang around with. These things all determine what we allow into our hearts and lives.
Are we made clean by the good things we do? If we do not have Christ as Our Saviour our good works are of our own doing. Yes, they seem very good to us as we look at the person doing good things, but God will only accept works of goodness if we are in Christ. We are made clean and acceptable to God by accepting Christ as our Saviour. If others do not accept our good works as children of God, God will accept them because our heart is willing and He is our motive.
According to the bible, Without Christ, all people are sinners and all people need salvation. Without Christ, our righteousness is as filthy rags to God. That's why Christ came to this earth to save us from our sins and to cleanse us from unrighteousness. Only one life soon past only what's done for Christ will last.
First of all for anyone to be clean in God’s sight, they must accept Christ as their personal Saviour. Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sin. Why do we need to be saved from our sin? Because God will not accept anyone who remains in his sin. That means God will not allow anyone into heaven that has not been washed from their sin. God made a way for us to be clean in his sight and forgiven of all our sins. When we believe upon Christ as our Savoiur, believe that he died on the cross for our sins and that He rose from the dead. The bible teaches us that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. We become a child of God. The bible calls it born again. When we choose Christ, we should also choose to live for Christ. Be a doer of the Word and your life will remain clean before God. Read it and Heed it.
What are some things we Need To Heed?
Be faithful to go to church.
Be faithful in prayer.
Be faithful in learning your bible.
Choose good friends.
Fellowship with believers.
Confess daily sins to God.
Be courteous.
Think good thoughts.
What are some things we need to weed?
Help me make a list.
