God Put Love Into Creation - Lesson

Have you ever thought about how much love went into one of God's creations? The flower for example, on Valentine's day , many times a husband will go out and buy his wife some flowers. It is one way they can express their love and devotion to their wives. I believe God knew when He made flowers ,we would use them as a way to show people that we love or care about them. We give flowers to people who are sick , we use flowers for weddings and such.

God made so many different kinds of flowers, more than we could possibly number . They are a very small part of creation and most likely there are some not discovered yet. God gave each flower kind it's own fragrance, it's own look, it's own color, and some of them can be eaten . Some can be used to make medications or vitamins. He made them in a way that it would be something we enjoy, though people with allergies might not find them so enjoyable.

Knowing that the flower got so much of God's attention. We know God put just as much care and thought into each part of creation.

Chocolate for example, God already knew about chocolate when he made the cocoa bean. If it weren't for God there wouldn't be any chocolate or sugar for that matter. God made the taste and put in His own ingredients miraculously and perfectly. We are able to make foods like chocolate, because God made things like cocoa beans, in which we ourselves could use to create new things. His love shows through His creation.

We know God has made so many things that we could not possibly talk about them all, but I chose to talk about these things because it's our Valentine's Day theme.

God made us in His image. He gave us creation. We can walk, we can talk, we can run, we can sing. We can feel. We can learn And we have a heart right in here. Feel it beating? God put love into making us.

All over this room we have hearts we decorate with on Valentine's day. ( Show the Shape) This heart does not represent our beating heart but the place we hold our emotions. Where we can love or hate, where we can feel sad, where we can feel angry. We cannot see it unless it shows on our face and we can feel our heart inside beat harder when we feel frightened or angry. Our emotional heart can affect our bodies.

This cut out heart , however, represents how we feel about the people and things around us.

God wants us to love him more than anyone else, if we love anybody or anything more than we love Him it's a sin. We have to keep the emotional heart under control because it can control us if God does not have first place. Being in love with the right person will come in time but we need to be careful with our emotional heart because falling in love with the wrong person can cause allot of pain in your emotional heart and life. We need to use our minds and emotional heart together along with the Bible. We should never go on emotion by itself.

We know it's not a sin to enjoy the blessings God has given us, but they should not control us. God wants to be in the driver's seat of our lives. You need to let him take up the biggest part of your heart.

God put love into creation because He loves us and He wanted to bless us with his creation and gave us a heart to enjoy it.. and then came the time He came to die for us , then conquered death, He arose, so we could know him and his love for us and live one day in heaven with Him...

You need to make GOD THE BIGGEST Valentine In Your Life

Because He really IS Your Best Friend And Mine Too.

No one will ever love you like Jesus does.

Dear Father God, Help us to love you and put you in the BIGGEST part of our hearts. Thank-you for all the blessings of creation. Keep our our heart clean before you..that we may be blessed and used by you. Be the Biggest Valentine in our lives that we may be the best people we can be for you.

Be Wise With Your Ears

Hooty has been selling televisions at the Who's Who Wiseshop. He has informed me that they will be selling computers and other electronics as well. The wonderful thing about computers is that they can be used for so many good things, but at the same time they are not good because they can be very dangerous. There's so many ideas that are corrupted and contrary to what the bible teaches. There are sin traps all over the internet. The devil wants your mind and knows how to get it too. God has warned us about sin and it's awful consequences and has given us clear instruction in His Word how to keep ourselves safe and what we need to protect ourselves. In the Proverb verses that we are learning from there is one part I want us to pay attention to during this lesson.

Proverbs 4:20- Son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

As children growing into what God wants you to be. God has used Solomon to give you some wise advise. Solomon is telling his Son to listen to him. Listening means a few things. Listen with your ears, listen with your heart and apply it to your life. Apply mean to put what you've listened too into action. An example would be. If a dad said, "Son make sure you get all of the trash into the trash can!" The son would hear with his ears, he would think about it and then He would do it. This would be the kind of listening God wants you to give Him. The bible says in -

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

In this verse we are promised a blessing for listening to the Word of God. He wants us to listen with our ears and with our heart and live what we have heard. Here's another example for you. If your dad said, "Son make sure to get all the trash into the trash can!" then you walked away hearing with your ears but put it off and forgot about it. Then you would be a forgetful hearer. God wants to bless us young people, but he will only bless us if we listen.

There are things God wants us to listen to and there are things He does not want us listening too. He definitely wants you to listen to Him but does not want you listening to anybody who would teach you differently than what He's taught you in His Word.

He doesn't want you listening to music that would fill your ears and heart with things that will impact how you live. Every song has a message and that message can impact your life. He doesn't want you listening to anyone who is teaching you to bow to an idol. There are many false religions in the world with a message, but it is the wrong message to listen to. He doesn't want you to listen to nasty dirty talk from other people and He defiantly don't want you laughing at it either. Reading is a way of listening because it has a message for you. Anything giving you a message that you know God hates, means you should hate it too. God doesn't want us listening to gossip because gossip hurts other people. Even if it is true - God don't want us taking joy in others suffering. God tells us if we get prideful we could fall into the same problems.

Young people we are living in a day that the world has become hard driven after our minds and our hearts. Please be a good listener by listening to the right things and refusing anything contrary to what the bible teaches.

What you listen to can either bring a blessing to your life or a curse to your life. God wants to bless you but in order to find his blessing you must first know him as your Savior, be committed to listen to his instruction for your life, by being a doer not a forgetful hearer.

Prayer:

Father God, Teach us to be the kind of listeners that you want us to be. Help us to avoid listening to anything that will harm our heart or our relationship with you. Give us wisdom how to react in situations that require hearing things we know are harmful. Place your shield over our hearts this week as we go about living life for you.

Praising The Lord No Matter What Pops Up

Introduction

There’s all kinds of things that happen to us in life. Sometimes good things and sometimes bad things, sometimes happy things, sometimes disappointing things, sometimes joyful things, sometimes scary things and on we could go. Each day is a day of choices and almost like popcorn they pop up to surprise us. Then comes the choice of how to react to the surprises along life’s way. Some people wake up to a tragedy that comes along. Like their house burning down or someone they love dies. We all will face some kind of hardship in our life. The most important thing through these hard times is knowing how to get through it without them changing us in a bad way. God talks about hard times throughout the bible continuously. Each bible story tells us something about facing life’s troubles. Daniel facing the lions, David facing a giant, Moses facing angry Pharaoh, Ester, taken from her home. Joseph being hated by His brothers. Paul and Silas in prison – God has given us non- stop examples of hardship and He shares with us the examples of others and their choices.

Some of us may be joyful today because of some great accomplishment, or a prayer that’s been answered. Some of us may be angered inside over something someone did or didn’t do. Everyday will be a new adventure of feelings and choices. What are some of the problems you are facing today? Are you very happy over anything? Name some things God has given us in which we should be thanking him. (short time Of discussion.)

God does not want us to be controlled by our feelings, but wants us to react to our feelings – by following Godly choices based on Truth. The truths we learn from God’s Word. Praise is one of the choices the bible teaches us to do through both good and bad circumstances in life.

I’m not talking about the kind of praise and worship services some churches have today, but a time of personal praise spent between you and God or praise during a difficult time.

God answers the prayers of praising Christians. God draws close to a person with a genuine heart of praise. God uplifts the grieving through a personal time of praise. God gives songs to those who long to praise Him. God gives joy in the place of tears to those who will praise Him. If one praises the feeling of joy soon follow. Praising the Lord encourages our heart to go on in the faith. Miracles happen in the life of a person who praises the Lord with a true heart. The devil will flee in the presence of real praise especially praises that include the shedding of Christ blood at Calvary.

David gives us many examples of praise in the Psalms. David was a man of praise and praised in both good times and bad times. He praised through His problems. Paul and Silas sang and praised the Lord after being thrown in prison for the cause of Christ. Both Old and New Testament stories have taught that God reacts to praise.

We need to learn to praise the Lord no matter what pops up in life. We can always tell God when we are angry, tell him when we are sad, tell him when we’ve been hurt, tell him when we’re happy, pray about things that need changed, but to be a Christian Survivor, we need to place our burden on Him and praise through life’s difficulties and by His leading take action as the Lord leads.
