Before the World Was

Before the World Was

It was nothing, nothing at all,

Not a shining star in sight. Pitch darkness.

No eyes to see,

No ears to hear,

No laughter, no tears,

No sun to arise with beams of warmth,

No moonlit night.

The earth was not earth, but a formless mass.

No waters to reflect,

No sky to stretch wide,

No seeds to sprout,

No breath to rise.

Time was unborn.

The void, vast and silent,

Held no song, no name, no flame.

But God was there.

Infinite. Present.

Not hidden—but waiting.

With Word unspoken,

And love unfailing.

He hovered—like breath before speech.

He dreamed light.

He imagined oceans.

He traced mountains.

He knew you.

Before the first dawn.

Before the world was.

Then His voice—

Like thunder wrapped in mercy—

Pierced the deep.

“Let there be light.”

The silence broke.

Waters ran.

Colors bloomed.

Stars shone like new.

And from the dust,

He shaped a soul.

Even then,

The Lamb was known—

Slain before time,

Waiting to awaken the broken.

He saw your story.

He carried your name.

Even then,

You were loved.
