🦉🌲 “Footprints on the Trail”

🦉🌲 “Footprints on the Trail”

— A Song‑Style Prayer for Hooty & Hoot

(Original & New)

Verse 1
Lord, we’re walking through the forest,
Down a winding, whispering trail;
Sometimes our steps feel steady,
Sometimes our courage feels frail.
But when the shadows gather
And our little hearts grow pale—
We look behind and notice
Just one set on the trail.

Chorus
You carried us, You carried us,
When our wings were tired and small;
Your footprints on the trail, O Lord,
Show You never let us fall.
You carried us, You carried us,
Through the quiet and the gale;
Your love is in the footprints
On our forest‑wandering trail.

Verse 2
When the map blows from our feathers,
When the path is hard to see,
When we slip on mossy branches
Or get tangled in a tree—
You lift us with Your kindness,
You steady every fear;
Your footprints walk before us
To show that You are near.

Chorus
You carried us, You carried us,
When our wings were tired and small;
Your footprints on the trail, O Lord,
Show You never let us fall.
You carried us, You carried us,
Through the quiet and the gale;
Your love is in the footprints
On our forest‑wandering trail.

Bridge
And when we meet another
Who feels lost along the way,
Let our story be a lantern
That lights their weary day.
May they see Your faithful footsteps
And know Your love is true—
For every trail we wander
Leads safely back to You.

Final Chorus
You carried us, You carried us,
When our wings were tired and small;
Your footprints on the trail, O Lord,
Show You never let us fall.
You carried us, You carried us,
Through the quiet and the gale;
Your love is in the footprints
On our forest‑wandering trail.

🌙 “Hooty and Hoot — Lullaby Version.”

🌙 “Hooty and Hoot — Lullaby Version.”

(A tender bedtime song)

Verse 1
Hush now, little Hoot,
The moon is shining bright.
Uncle Hooty’s here with you,
To guard you through the night.
The treetops sway so quietly,
The stars begin to gleam…
Close your eyes, sweet feathered one,
And drift into a dream.

Chorus
🎶 Hooty and Hoot, in the cool night air,
One sings wisdom, one sleeps with care.
Wings fold  gently, hearts at rest,
Held by the Lord, who loves them best. 🎶

Verse 2
Hooty shares wise stories
Of God’s strong, steady wings—
How He lifts the weary heart
And every blessing brings.
Little Hoot leans close to him,
Safe in the silver glow…
Wrapped in peace and comfort
Only heaven’s love can show.

Final Chorus
🎶 Hooty and Hoot, under skies,
One keeps watch while the other sleeps.
Feathers soft and stars so bright,
God holds them both through every night. 🎶

Soft Ending
Sleep now, little Hoot…
The Lord is watching too.

Hooty and Hoot Song

Hooty and Hoot

🎵 Hooty and Hoot
(A joyful children’s ministry song)

Verse 1
In the heart of Pine Hollow, where the tall trees grow,
Lived old Hooty the Owl, with a wise, gentle glow.
He’d whisper soft prayers in the hush of the night,
And teach little Hoot how to soar in the light.

Chorus
🎶 Hooty and Hoot, flying side by side,
One with the stories, one with the stride.
Feathers of faith and wings full of grace,
They carry God’s love to every place. 🎶

Verse 2
Hooty said, “Hoot, when the winds start to roar,
Remember the Lord — He’ll help you soar.”
So Hoot took his flight with a sparkle and cheer,
Bringing hope to the children far and near.

Bridge
They perch on the porch, they glide through the trees,
They sing with the chipmunks and pray on the breeze.
One tells the stories, one learns the way,
Together they brighten each woodland day.

Final Chorus
🎶 Hooty and Hoot, in the morning light,
One with the wisdom, one with the flight.
Feathers of courage, hearts full of song,
They carry God’s comfort all day long. 🎶
