Son-Shine From Above

Verse 1

Morning breaks in golden light;

But higher still, Your glory shines.

Hearts awaken to thy grace;

As heaven’s day conquers the night.

Verse 2

Flowers turn to catch the rays:

Yet eyes can’t fathom what You’ve done.

For every beam of earthly sun;

Fades beside Your wondrous ways.

Son-shine from above, You reign in endless love.

Church bells ring, the angels sing, “Our Savior’s light has come!”

Son-shine fills our hearts, Your radiance never parts

We lift our voice, in You rejoice—Eternal radiant Son.

But in Your presence, fears retreat.

Each promise Heav’n’s own Son reveals;

A lighthouse standing firm and tall.

My Sunshine Basket - Children's Song

My Sunshine Basket

Within my sunshine basket.

Filled with sunshine words of praise.

I remember when I read them.

To rejoice in Him always.

When life seems kind of dreary.

When it's hard to wear a smile.

I'm reminded of sweet blessings;

That has been there all the while.

When I'm sad within my heart.

I think of heaven above.

When I reach into my basket.

I'm reminded of God's love.

When we learn to be thankful.

And to praise God's holy name.

There is healing in His wings.

Hope in Him and joy remains.

In Him we see the glimmer;

of  His love, His joy, His peace.

We find hope like a river;

Praying at our Saviour's feet.

When we call upon His name.

Trusting in His love complete.

His mercy comes shining through;

For, His love for us is sweet.

Blessing one and blessing two;

Look at what our God can do.

Blessing nine and blessing ten.

Let's remember to praise Him.

Within my sunshine basket.

Jesus brings sunshine; 

When we rejoice in Him.

His Spirit is moved;

Bringing us joy within.

Refreshing our souls:

With water from His Word.

And the many lessons;

In scriptures we have heard

 1John 1:5  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

   Did you know that there is no darkness in heaven? Any light that we enjoy here in this world was given to us by God. When the Bible talks about light, many times it's talking about truth, because truth is light. When Jesus came to this world He brought us the truth. The Bible says, Jesus said, "I am the light of the world."
 In the beginning of the world, God said, let there be light and there was light. The same way within our hearts when we believe and receive Christ is like a light comes on in our heart. Jesus comes into our heart and dwells there and it is like the truth lights up our hearts. We can understand for the first time how loving God is in giving us salvation and understand how much we really need him. 
  When we truly understand what Jesus did, that he came to die for us and that he arose.  When we understand that we no longer belong to ourselves or to the world, We know we belong to Jesus. We can have joy when we worship him with praise. loving him with our whole heart by loving his word and living it. God loves for us to praise him and sing to him and spend time with him. Jesus lives in the heart of the Christian.  When we praise him it moves His spirit inside of our hearts and his presence can be felt by the joy we feel. He gives us joy even when we are very sorrowful, when we can still praise him and honor him through our troubles and our heart aches. The Bible calls him our comforter. I wrote this praise song, it's about how God moves in our hearts when we praise Him.
