🌟 An Invitation: To Know Jesus — The ABCs of Salvation
A Heart‑Stirring Gospel Call for Children, Teens, and Families
In the Honeycomb family’s hive, the lantern glows softly at night. Papa Honeycomb gathers everyone close — Blaze, Whistle, Lilybee, and even little Baby Buzz — and he says something every child needs to hear:
“Kids… Jesus wants your heart. Not just your Sunday heart. Not just your football heart. Not just your school heart. He wants all of you.”
And then he teaches them the ABCs of Salvation — simple enough for a child, powerful enough for a grown heart.
🅰️ A — Admit You Need Him
Papa Honeycomb begins gently:
“We all have sinned. Every one of us. We’ve said wrong things, done wrong things, thought wrong things. And sin separates us from God.”
He opens the Bible to Romans 3:23 —
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Blaze thinks about the times he got angry on the field. Whistle remembers when he didn’t tell the truth. Lilybee thinks about the day she grabbed her friend’s crayons without asking.
Papa says:
“Admitting your sin isn’t scary. It’s the first step toward Jesus’ light.”
🅱️ B — Believe Jesus Died and Rose for You
Mama Honeycomb leans in with a warm smile:
“Jesus loves you so much He died for your sins — and He rose again to give you new life.”
She reads John 3:16 —
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…”
Blaze imagines Jesus carrying the cross. Whistle imagines the empty tomb. Lilybee whispers, “He did that for me?”
Mama nods:
“Yes, sweetheart. Believe He is the Savior — your Savior.”
🅲 C — Call on Jesus and Confess Him as Lord
Papa Honeycomb opens to Romans 10:13 —
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
He explains:
“Calling on Jesus means asking Him to forgive you, save you, and live in your heart. Confessing Him as Lord means you choose Him as your King — your Leader — your Light.”
Blaze thinks of football plays:
“So… Jesus calls the plays now?”
Papa smiles:
“Exactly. And He never fumbles.”
Whistle says softly:
“I want Him to be my Light.”
Lilybee nods:
“Me too.”
🌟 A Blended Prayer of Invitation
Papa Honeycomb leads them in a simple, sincere prayer — not magic words, but a real conversation with God:
“Dear Jesus, I admit I have sinned and I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. I call on You now — please forgive me, wash my heart clean, and be the Lord of my life. Shine Your light in me so others can see You. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
The lantern glows brighter. Not because the flame changed — but because their hearts did.
🌟 The Gospel Truth for This Week
When a child — or anyone — follows the ABCs of Salvation, Jesus becomes the Light of their heart.
And when Jesus is the Light of your heart…
it shows at home
it shows at school
it shows on the field
it shows in kindness
it shows in courage
it shows in forgiveness
it shows in humility
it shows in every choice you make
You don’t have to force it. You don’t have to pretend. You simply let Jesus shine.

🅰️ A — Admit You Need Jesus
Every child, every grown‑up, every person has sinned. We’ve all done wrong things, said wrong things, or thought wrong things. Sin keeps our hearts dark — but Jesus brings the Light.
Bible Verse: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
Bee Reminder: A little bee can’t fly well with sticky wings. A heart can’t shine well with sticky sin. Admitting your sin is the first step toward Jesus.
🅱️ B — Believe Jesus Died and Rose Again
Jesus loves you so much He died on the cross for your sins. He didn’t stay in the grave — He rose again to give you new life. Believing in Jesus is trusting that He is the Savior who rescues you.
Bible Verse: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son…” — John 3:16
Bee Reminder: Just like a bee trusts the hive to keep it safe, you can trust Jesus to save your heart forever.
🅲 C — Call on Jesus & Confess Him as Lord
Calling on Jesus means asking Him to forgive you, save you, and live in your heart. Confessing Him as Lord means you choose Him as your Leader — your King — your Light.
Bible Verse: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13
Bee Reminder: When a bee follows the Queen, the hive stays strong. When you follow Jesus, your life stays bright.
🌟 A Simple Prayer Children Can Pray
(Not magic words — just a real conversation with God.)
“Dear Jesus, I admit I have sinned and I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. I call on You now — please forgive me, save me, and be the Lord of my life. Shine Your light in my heart. Amen.”
🐝💛 Your Heart Can Shine
When Jesus becomes the Light of your heart, it shows in how you treat your family, how you act at school, how you play on the field, and how you love others.

✨ Theme Verses
“Let your light so shine before men…” — Matthew 5:16 “The Lord is my light and my salvation…” — Psalm 27:1
🧩 Supplies
Small LED candles (one per child)
Clear cups or jars
Tissue paper or vellum (yellow, white, gold)
Glue sticks or tape
Marker pens for writing Scripture phrases
🕯️ Lesson Steps
Darkness Demonstration: Dim the lights. Ask, “What happens when we hide our light?” Turn on one LED candle — the room brightens. Explain that Jesus wants our faith to shine even when the world feels dark.
Decorate the Candle: Wrap the cup or jar with tissue paper. Write “Shine for Jesus!” or “Faith Lights the Way!” on the front. Add stars or honeycomb patterns to match your craft theme.
Scripture Connection: Read Matthew 5:16 aloud together. Say: “Our LED candles remind us that God’s light never burns out — it shines through us.”
Faith Challenge: Encourage each child to take their candle home and light it during prayer time. Ask them to remember: “When I shine for Jesus, others see His love.”
💡 Closing Thought
“Even a small light can chase away great darkness. Let your faith glow like a candle that never goes out.”

The Honey Bowl stadium was buzzing with excitement. Blaze Bee and Light Bee were practicing their plays when suddenly — the lights went out! The field grew dark, and the crowd gasped.
Coach Honeycomb blew his whistle. “Don’t panic, team! Remember — our light doesn’t come from the stadium. It comes from Jesus!”
Glowbee Grace lifted her lantern. Torchbee Tim raised his candle‑trophy. Soon, tiny lights flickered all around the field — bees shining their faith for everyone to see.
The crowd began to cheer, “Shine for Jesus!” And Blaze Bee smiled. “Even when the world goes dark, God’s light never fails.”
