Miriam's parents had to hide the baby Moses from the King's
men. They had to keep him quiet. They prayed for his life and his safety.
Miriam had to obey, she needed to help
keep baby Moses quiet. She could not wander off somewhere to play.
She could not do whatever she wanted to do. She had to follow her parent's instructions. Mose's life depended on her.
If she were stubborn it could have cost her brother's life. If she were careless
it would have been very sad.
Miriam was trusted, when children obey they earn trust.
They are called trustworthy. Her mother gave her a very important job.
They made a basket with a lid, that could float on water. They
hid Moses inside of it.
Miriam prayed and her parents prayed. Miriam was courageous and she followed her parent's instructions. She did not let fear stop her
from being part of saving her brother's life.
Miriam and her mother carried the basket to the edge of the Nile. Miriam put the basket into the water among the reeds.
The basket floated on the water and she followed the basket as it floated down the Nile River.
From a distance, she could see an Egyptian Princess and her maids bathing at the water's edge. She watched and prayed for her brother's safety. Will baby Moses be safe?
The Egyptian princess saw the basket by the bulrushes and found baby Moses
inside. She had compassion for him.
Miriam ran to the Egyptian princess and asked her if she needed a nurse for the child.
The Princess told Miriam to take the child and find the child a nurse.
Moses's mother was overjoyed and rejoiced to hold and to nurse her son. God provided and answered their prayers. They rejoiced together, not only did the Lord God keep Moses safe but his mother was paid to nurse him. When Moses was older he was raised by the Egyptian Princess and became a Prince of Egypt.
(A long-awaited prayer powerfully answered)
God used a young girl to answer a very important prayer.
Miriam did not know that one day her brother would be a great man of God.
An answered prayer to the Hebrew Children. God would free the Hebrew slaves.
Moses would grow up and be used by God to deliver the children
of Israel from the bondage of Egypt.
God shows himself powerful through answered prayer.

You could bring in a basket as a surprise to keep the baby doll hidden inside it.
Let them look inside the basket to see what is inside...
And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.
And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.
And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.
And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.
Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?
And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child's mother.
And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it.
And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.
Helpful Sayings:
Obedience will save your life someday.
Learn and obey then we'll take time to play.
Luke 10:30 - 37
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

2 Peter 1:19 ¶ We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light
that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the

We are
beginning a New Year, a new beginning. A
time of reflecting, then a time to go forward.
Yes, we all
have made mistakes this past year, but we must begin this year with renewed
enthusiasm.
Christ
wants us to continue giving the Truth of His Word. I have my corner and you have yours.
Brighten
the corner where God has allowed you to speak to others. Whether there be one or a million.
Be faithful
in the little things and He will make you ruler over much. You may not see the fruit of your labor, but
you will see the fruit of faithfulness, the fruit of joy, and the fruit of endurance,
these too are counted as fruit. God
gives the increase, we are to be faithful and obedient. You may win one to the Lord, you may win
none, you may win a hundred, or even a
thousand. That did not happen
with Noah, even though he preached for a hundred years. He won only his family, all else died in their
sin. Still, He is mentioned in the hall
of faith.
When Jesus
was born it marked a new beginning. It
was a new beginning for Mary and Joseph too.
They were raising the Christ Child.
They were closer to God than they had ever been. They held
him in their arms, worshipped Him, and kissed his tiny hand. They were starting a new life and that life
always included Jesus. This New Year
should bring us closer to Jesus because he lives in our hearts. Not as a baby but as our Redeemer. When Christ lives in your heart, He's with
you where ever you go. Our new
beginnings should always begin with Jesus Christ, our prayers, our bible
reading, and praising Him. These things
will give us the strength to continue on in a life of faith and obedience. They will give us renewed hope for the New
Year.
This is a
new beginning for a child of God, and also a new beginning for anyone willing
to humble themselves by accepting Christ as their Saviour. I know
that almost everyone makes New Year's Resolutions and we should. It's always good to improve ourselves and accomplish
goals. People who are saved make resolutions
and also those that are lost.
There are many
New Year's Resolutions I need to make.
Losing weight is one of them, but the best decision anyone can make for
the New Year is Jesus.
Start The
New Year With The Best Friend You'll Ever Have - Christ In Your Heart.
Susan Nikitenko
What a Friend
1.What a
friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
2.Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3.Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
4.Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.
I'm not
trying to sell anything to you, I'm trying to give you something.
The
greatest gift of love ever offered to you.
James 1:17a
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights
God's
desire is for you to become His child.
If you are willing to call upon Him and come to Him in genuine faith. He will not refuse you.
What better
way to start the New Year - By beginning it with Christ. Christ in your heart.
1John 5:13
These
things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that
ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of
the Son of God.
Romans
10:17
So then
faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Matthew
16:24 ¶
Then said
Jesus unto his disciples, If any man
will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Romans 10:9
That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Father God, Be with each one here today... I pray that you will open their ears to hear.
That people will be saved and people will be encouraged to serve you faithfully.
I pray you are glorified and honored with true hearts of faith.
In Christ's Name, I Ask This.
Amen

When babies are born they cry at birth. I always have heard that babies were spanked
at birth because it cleared out the air passage to the lungs. Babies cry normally for food or any discomfort,
but laughter is something that comes later, at least it did with Anna. Anna is my 5 1/2-month-old granddaughter.
Anna started laughing in her sleep around 3 1/2 months old.
My daughter told me she could hear her laugh in the middle of the night
in her sleep. This happened a few times
until the day I was in the middle of changing her clothes. I was taking her little shirt off and my
fingers were under her arm while I was trying
to take her arm out of her sleeve. She
started laughing and even surprised herself.
I had discovered Anna is ticklish under the arms and also under her
chin. The day that Anna learned to smile
and laugh has brought laughter and smiles to every gathering of our church and
family since. When Anna smiles the whole
room starts smiling. When Anna was born
she looked so grumpy, and other people noticed she looked grumpy but
she had not learned how to smile yet. Just because she looked grumpy didn't mean she
was. It amazes me how a new baby can
bring so much joy. I'm sure that's why
we call new babies a "bundle of joy".
Something Anna has learned, as young as she is, is to be
gentle. She's learned how to reach her
hands to my face. Anna has reached both
hands to my face and looked into my eyes, cooing. It was definitely a way to say " I love
you." Last night I was so surprised
by her. She had bit down too hard on her
teething ring and I rocked her and I let her know I felt bad for her. I comforted her and she settled down. Afterward, she put her right hand to my cheek,
looked into my eyes, and talked away in baby language. I can hardly describe the feeling of joy I felt when my grandbaby started talking
to me with love in her eyes. The look
in her eyes brought me joy. She is so
sweet and seems especially smart to be able to express herself that way already. I just do not remember my grown
children expressing themselves the same way when they were infants.
When a new baby comes along everybody starts acting like
children, Even grandpa. Everybody makes
funny voices and sounds. The whole
family joins in bouncing the baby. smiling with the baby, talking like a baby, and
helping with the baby. I have always heard
there's no feeling so wonderful than to be a grandparent and I believe that to be
true. There is no doubt about it, Anna
has been and is a bundle of joy.

Psalms 139:15
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. {substance: or, strength, or, body}
Psalms 139:16
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
