Good Enough ~ Belinda van Rensburg

Good Enough

by Belinda van Rensburg

God wants me to be myself
For He created me this way,
And since God made me who I am,
Myself I'm quite content to stay.

In His eyes I'm good enough -
It matters not what others say;
I need not act as if I'm tough
Or copy other children's ways.

God doesn't care if I'm not cool -
If I'm not stronger; thinner;
In His hands I am a tool
To reach out to another sinner.

Though I am still young and small
In Jesus Christ I'm strong and tall;
So when people look at me
May it be God's own Son they see.

Jesus Is My Valentine

Jesus Is My Valentine

by: Susan Y Nikitenko
December 2008

Jesus is my Valentine;
I talk to Him each day.
He never, never leaves me;
and always listens when I pray.
Yes He is my Valentine;
there is no love like His.
He is the heart of all that is;
for Him I breathe and live.
He's a Valentine that never lies;
never hurts or breaks.
He always has forgiven me;
for all my past mistakes.
If you only knew my Valentine;
You would love Him too.
For His love is always perfect;
His love is always true.
So if your heart is longing;
for a love that never ends.
for someone that is faithful;
you know you can depend.
call upon my Valentine;
He'll wash away your sin.
He will be your Valentine;
and your dearest, dearest friend.

--------

I'm Soooo Scared... I COULD BUST!
How many of you have ever been afraid of anything?   I'm really scared of escalators!
I know it's funny.. but I am.   How many of you have ever been afraid to witness to someone or
stand up for what's right at school?   Me too.
Maybe you're  afraid, for example that you're going to get bad grades on your test or maybe you're afraid someone in your family is going to die.  There are so many things that could make us afraid.  Can you tell me what makes you afraid?
Well When we are scared, we are kind of like this balloon (Hold up pre-blown up balloon, maybe from earlier game) And this flame( light candle)
Now watch carefully.
 (Hold the balloon to the candle) POP!!!
Now we may not really Pop!  like this balloon did ...this is an example of how fear makes us act and feel.  You may feel like not doing what is hard or quitting.  You may feel like crying or getting angry.   Life is very hard when we  try to carry all our fears around with us.    So what do we do when we are afraid?
   The Bible says in Psalms 27:1
 "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?'
 So let's see what happens...
If we let God take all the heat out of our fear. (Hold up balloon with cup of water in it) The water in
this balloon represents God. (Shake around so kids can hear and see the water.) So let's say we
are afraid to tell a mean girl at school about Jesus,  but we let God take the fear and we ask him
for strength and  faith.  What will happen?   Let's see ...(Hold candle up to water spot on balloon) (The balloon will
not pop!) He will strengthen us and the fear won't keep us from being strong and courageous.
So the next time you feel like you are soooo scared that you could just  bust, rely on God.  Give God
the fear and He will strengthen you  and by faith  your efforts will not be a bust.

Quilted In Love - The Gospel Quilt Valentine

Tween
The Gospel Quilt Post #1   There's More To Come

2Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,
as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering
to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come
short of the glory of God;
 Romans 5:12
 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered
 into the world, and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned:

 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things
are become new.

 1John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful
 and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.

Jeremiah  1:5a
Before I formed thee in the belly
I knew thee;

                            Proverbs 15:3
The eyes of the LORD are in every place,
beholding the evil and the good.

Genesis 6:5
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth, and that every imagination
of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

 Romans 3:23
 For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God;

Romans 10:9
 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
 the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
 in thine heart that God hath
 raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord
shall be saved.

What Kind Of Apples - updated

What Kind Of Apples

If you were a tree;
of apples so bold;
What kind of apples;
would your tree limbs hold?

Would they be bitter;
Or would they be sweet?
Would your apples provide;
A nutritious treat?

Apples of goodness;
Filled with God's mercy?
Apples of pardon;
Grace for the thirsty?

In Jesus our tree;
Can bare joy divine.
Through trouble and trial;
Our Jesus would shine.

Apples of patience;
Longsuffering too.
What kind of apples;
Are falling from you?

Crab apples are green;
And bitter to eat.
Some apples are rotten;
and lay at ones feet.

A fruit bearing tree;
In Jesus I'm told.
Will bare sweet apples;
Sweet apples of gold.

Like honey they yield;
Providing the world.
With apples of goodness;
Produced by our Lord.

If you were a tree;
of apples so bold;
What kind of apples;
would your tree limbs hold?

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.
