⚠️ Modernized or Not Exact KJV

  • Psalm 104:1 Your version: “Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great…” KJV: “Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great…” ➤ “You are” vs. “thou art” shows modern language.

  • Nehemiah 9:5 Your version is a blend of phrases. KJV is more formal: “Stand up and bless the Lord your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name…”

  • Ephesians 1:3 Your version uses “in Christ” and “spiritual blessing,” which is closer to NKJV or ESV. KJV: “…who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

  • Revelation 5:13 Your version is close, but KJV uses: “…Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne…”

  • 1 Chronicles 29:10–11 Your version is a paraphrase. KJV is more formal: “Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever…”

  • Psalm 145:1–2 Your version: “I will extol You…” KJV: “I will extol thee, my God, O king…”

" The Empty Bowi"

“The Empty Bowl” —

A Devotional Story Inspired by Matthew 5:6

The autumn wind rustled through the trees as twelve-year-old Micah sat on the porch steps, staring at the chipped ceramic bowl in his hands. It had once held his favorite soup, but now it was empty—just like he felt inside. His family had moved again, his best friend was two states away, and the youth group at church felt more like a performance than a place to belong. He didn’t know how to name the ache, but it was there—deep and quiet, like a hunger that wouldn’t go away.

Inside, his older sister Naomi was sketching a sunrise for her devotional journal. She glanced out the window and saw Micah’s slumped shoulders. “Want to help me with something?” she asked, stepping outside. Micah shrugged, still holding the bowl. Naomi sat beside him and opened her Bible. “I’m working on a verse for our youth night. It’s Matthew 5:6. ‘Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.’”

Micah frowned. “I’m not sure I even know what righteousness means.” Naomi smiled gently. “It’s not about being perfect. It’s about wanting what’s right—wanting God’s truth, His justice, His presence. It’s like craving something good when everything else feels fake or broken.” She pointed to the bowl. “That’s what Jesus is talking about. When your soul feels empty, He promises to fill it.”

Later that week, their youth leader challenged everyone to bring something that represented their spiritual hunger. Some brought journals, others brought music lyrics or drawings. Micah brought his bowl. He stood in front of the group, heart pounding, and said, “I didn’t know what I was hungry for until I realized I was tired of pretending. I want something real. I want to know God—not just hear about Him.”

The room was quiet. Then one by one, others began to share. A girl admitted she felt invisible at school. A boy confessed he was angry all the time and didn’t know why. Another said he was tired of being the “good kid” who never felt close to God. Micah listened, surprised. He wasn’t the only one with an empty bowl.

Naomi later helped Micah write a prayer in his journal: “Lord, I don’t want to fill my life with things that don’t satisfy. Make me hungry for You. Teach me what’s right. Fill me with Your truth.” He decorated the page with a sunrise and a path labeled “Righteousness,” just like Naomi’s drawing. It felt like a beginning.

Over the next few weeks, Micah started reading scripture with fresh eyes. He asked questions. He noticed how Jesus treated people—especially the ones who were hurting or left out. He began to see righteousness not as a rulebook, but as a way of living that brought light into dark places. His hunger didn’t disappear, but it started to feel holy.

One Sunday, Micah helped lead a devotional for the younger kids. He brought his bowl again and told them, “God doesn’t just fill us once. He keeps filling us as we keep seeking Him. And sometimes, being hungry is the best place to start.” The kids colored bowls and cups, adding rays of light and drops of water. Micah smiled. His bowl wasn’t empty anymore—it was overflowing.

And so, the verse became more than words. It became a journey. A path toward sunrise. A bowl held out in faith. A hunger that led to healing. For Micah, and for many others, Matthew 5:6 was no longer just a verse—it was a promise.

🍂 A Painting of Hunger and Hope — Inspired by Matthew 5:6

Only Use Picture For This Writing

🍂 A Painting of Hunger and Hope — Inspired by Matthew 5:6

The leaves on the trees are beautifully greenish blue. They are slowly changing to a bright new hue—amber, gold, and crimson—like hearts awakening to truth. Each leaf seems to whisper a longing, a quiet ache for something more. The branches stretch upward, not in surrender, but in yearning.

A winding path cuts through the forest floor, dappled with light and shadow. It leads toward a distant hill where the sun is rising, casting warm rays across the sky. The sunrise is not just light—it’s promise. The word Righteousness is etched into the path itself, glowing faintly as if lit from within.

To the left of the path, a child kneels beside a stream, cupping water in their hands. Their face is turned upward, eyes closed, lips parted—not in speech, but in thirst. The water sparkles as it pours through their fingers, yet somehow, they are not disappointed. They are being filled.

On the right, an older figure holds a bowl—empty, but expectant. Above them, a gentle hand reaches down from the clouds, pouring golden light into the bowl. It’s not food, not drink, but something deeper. Truth. Presence. Peace. The bowl glows as it receives what the world cannot give.

Scattered throughout the scene are symbols of hunger and thirst: a loaf resting on a stone, a cup nestled in fallen leaves, a vine curling around a tree trunk. Each one untouched, yet radiant—waiting for the soul that seeks.

In the sky, soft clouds drift like prayers. One cloud forms the shape of a heart, pierced by light. Another resembles a dove in flight. The heavens are not distant—they are leaning in, ready to respond.

At the bottom of the painting, in elegant script, the verse is written: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” The words shimmer slightly, as if alive—inviting the viewer to step into the scene, to walk the path, to lift their bowl.

This is not just a painting. It is a parable in color. A visual prayer. A reminder that the deepest hunger is holy, and the truest thirst leads to God. In every leaf, every shadow, every sunrise, the promise remains: You will be filled.

🎶 Autumn Prayer - Song

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."
Matthew 5:6 (KJV)

🎶 Autumn Prayer

Verse 1

The leaves fall soft with peaceful grace,

Each one a prayer in time and space.

The morning air is crisp and true,

And all I want is more of You.

Pre-Chorus I’ve tasted joy, I’ve walked through pain, But only You can fill again.

Chorus Bless me now, oh Savior, hear my autumn prayer, Bounty I consider is knowing You are there. Not gold, not grain, not earthly store— But hunger met in knowing more. Bless me now, oh Savior, hear my autumn prayer.

Verse 2

My heart thirsteth for God—I long to know Him more,

Like rivers in the desert, I seek His open door.

The world may offer plenty, but none of it will do,

For all I truly treasure is found in knowing You.

Bridge Let righteousness rise like the morning sun, Let mercy shine  till the day is done. I lift my heart, I lift your praise— In Jesus name and Holy ways.

Final Chorus Bless me now, oh Savior, hear my autumn prayer, Bounty I consider is knowing You are there. Not gold, not grain, not earthly store— But hunger met in knowing more. Bless me now, oh Savior, hear my autumn prayer.

Outro (spoken or sung softly) The leaves may fall, the seasons change, But You remain—my heart’s true range. Bless me now… oh Savior… hear my autumn prayer.

🎶 Autumn Prayer Final Verse & Outro

Verse 3

The leaves may fall, the seasons change,

But You remain—my strength, my aim.

Bless me now… Sweet Jesus… hear my autumn prayer,

With gratitude and love I lift Your holy name.

Final Chorus (reprise) Bless me now, oh Savior, hear my autumn prayer, Bounty I consider is knowing You are there. Not gold, not grain, not earthly store— But hunger met in knowing more. Bless me now, oh Savior, hear my autumn prayer.

Orchestral Outro (spoken or sung softly) You are my sunrise, my steady flame, My heart’s desire, my soul’s acclaim. Bless me now… Dear Jesus… hear my autumn prayer.

" Thank you God for your provision, your love and your light"

Devotion Story: “The Day the Pie Fell” Blessed are They That Mourn

Coloring Pages Are at The Bottom

Matthew 5:4 (KJV):

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

Definition of “mourn”

Verb

  • To feel or show deep sorrow or regret, especially for someone who has died.
  • To express sadness over a loss or misfortune.

Examples

  • She mourned the passing of her beloved friend.
  • They mourned the loss of a simpler way of life.

Synonyms: grieve, lament, weep, bemoan, rue
Antonym: rejoice

To grieve with depth and reverence; to feel or express sorrow over a loss, especially the death of someone cherished. Mourning is not just sadness—it’s love that has nowhere to go, a sacred ache that honors what was and longs for what still lives in memory.

🌿 Blessed

  • Literal meaning: Fortunate, favored, divinely approved.
  • Spiritual depth: This isn’t about worldly happiness—it’s about being in right relationship with God. To be “blessed” here means to be under God’s grace, even in sorrow. It’s a paradox: those who grieve are not forgotten—they are held close.

It’s not the absence of pain, but the presence of God in pain.

💧 Are they that mourn

  • Mourn: To grieve deeply, to lament, to feel sorrow—especially over loss or sin.
  • In context: Jesus is speaking not only of those grieving death or hardship, but also those who mourn their own brokenness, the brokenness of the world, and the separation from God caused by sin.

This mourning is sacred—it’s the heart’s cry for healing, for restoration, for mercy.

🤍 For they shall be comforted

  • Comforted: To be consoled, strengthened, and given peace.
  • Divine promise: God Himself will comfort those who mourn—not just with emotional relief, but with spiritual renewal. This comfort may come through the Holy Spirit, through community, through scripture, or through quiet moments of grace.

Comfort is not just soothing—it’s transformation. It’s the balm that turns sorrow into hope.

🌸 Devotional Reflection

This beatitude invites us to see mourning not as weakness, but as a doorway to divine intimacy. When we mourn—whether over loss, injustice, or our own failings—we are not abandoned. We are blessed because God draws near to the brokenhearted.

🌼 Devotional: “The Day the Pie Fell”

It was Grandma’s famous blackberry pie—baked with love, laced with sugar, and destined for the church potluck. My little brother, in a heroic attempt to “help,” tripped over the cat and sent the pie flying. It landed upside down, splattered like a crime scene across the kitchen floor. Grandma gasped. Mom sighed. And my brother burst into tears. That pie was more than dessert—it was tradition, memory, and love in a crust. And now it was gone.

We mourn more than death. We mourn lost moments, broken dreams, fractured relationships, and yes—fallen pies. Jesus didn’t say, “Blessed are those who have it all together.” He said, “Blessed are they that mourn.” He saw the tears, the ache, the quiet griefs we carry. Mourning is not weakness—it’s proof that something mattered. And in that sacred sorrow, He promises comfort.

Comfort doesn’t always come in thunderclaps. Sometimes it’s a warm hug, a shared laugh, or a new pie baked with extra love. Grandma didn’t scold—she handed my brother a spoon and said, “Well, I guess we’re eating this one off the floor!” We all laughed through tears, and somehow, that messy moment became one of our most cherished memories. Comfort came not by erasing the loss, but by redeeming it.

Jesus comforts us not by pretending the pain isn’t real, but by entering it with us. He weeps with us, walks with us, and whispers hope into the hollow places. The promise of Matthew 5:4 is not just future comfort—it’s present companionship. The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, dwells with those who mourn, bringing peace that passes understanding and joy that comes from the Holy Spirit

So if you’re mourning today—whether it’s a person, a plan, or a pie—know this: you are not alone. Your sorrow is seen. Your tears are treasured. And your comfort will be there. It may arrive in unexpected ways—a song, a scripture, a silly memory—but it will come. Because Jesus said so. And He never breaks a promise.

Let mourning be a teacher, not a thief. It teaches us to love deeply, to hold loosely, and to trust fiercely. It reminds us that this world is not our home, and that every tear will one day be wiped away. Until then, we mourn with hope, still find joy in sorrow in Christ  and bake new pies with forever love.

Conclusion: A ruined pie may seem small, but grief doesn’t measure itself in size—it measures in meaning. That pie was more than dessert. It was tradition, anticipation, love baked into the crust. And when it fell, the boy didn’t just see splattered berries—he saw disappointment in the eyes of people he cared about. He thought, “I ruined it for everyone.” But what he really felt was the weight of wanting to bring joy, and fearing he’d brought sorrow instead.

That’s why we grieve over things like ruined pies, broken ornaments, and forgotten birthdays. Because they represent connection. And when connection feels lost, even for a moment, our hearts ache.

But here’s the grace: Grief opens the door to comfort. And comfort reminds us that love isn’t so easily ruined.

💬 A Devotional Reflection

“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4 (KJV)

The boy mourned not just the pie, but the joy he hoped to share. And in that mourning, he was met with grace—a grandmother who smiled and said, “Well, I guess we’re eating this one off the floor!” Laughter returned. Love remained. And comfort came, not by fixing the pie, but by redeeming the moment

☀️ Tip of the Day

Let yourself feel. Don’t rush past sorrow. Invite God into it. He doesn’t just fix—He sits, listens, and loves.

📖 Scripture Recommendation

  • Psalm 34:18“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

  • Isaiah 61:3“To give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning…”

🙏 Matching Prayer

Dear Lord, Thank You for seeing my sorrow and calling me blessed in it. Help me not to hide my grief, but to bring it to You. Comfort me in ways only You can—through laughter, through love, through Your Word. Teach me to mourn with hope, and to comfort others with the comfort I’ve received. Let my broken places become holy ground. Amen.

Devotional Story: “The Pink Umbrella and the Promise”

Devotional Story: “The Pink Umbrella and the Promise”

Scripture Focus: “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4 (KJV)

Lila was only seven when her big sister Maren passed away. Maren had been her hero—bold, kind, and always ready with a story or a silly song. They shared secrets, sidewalk chalk masterpieces, and rainy-day walks under Maren’s favorite pink umbrella. When Maren died suddenly, the world felt gray. Lila didn’t want to go outside. She didn’t want to laugh. She didn’t want to remember.

One rainy afternoon, Lila sat curled on the couch, staring at the umbrella leaning in the corner. Her mother knelt beside her and gently brushed the hair from her face. “Sweetheart,” she whispered, “I know it hurts. I miss her too. But mourning doesn’t mean forgetting—it means loving someone so much that your heart needs time to heal.”

Lila looked up, tears brimming. “But I don’t feel blessed. I just feel broken.”

Her mother nodded, eyes soft. “Jesus said, ‘Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.’ That means He sees your sorrow, and He promises to meet you in it. Comfort isn’t always loud—it’s quiet, like a hug, a memory, or a walk in the rain.”

Later that day, Lila found a note tucked inside her sock drawer. It was written in Maren’s loopy handwriting:

“Dear Little Star, if you ever feel lost, follow the raindrops. I’ll be there—laughing, loving, and walking beside you. Take the umbrella. It still works.”

With trembling hands, Lila opened the umbrella and stepped outside. The rain was soft, like heaven’s tears. She walked to the bakery, just like they used to. Mrs. Delaney saw her and smiled through tears. “You look just like your sister,” she said. “She used to say rain was God’s way of watering our smiles.”

That night, Lila told her mom about the note. Her mother held her close and whispered, “That’s comfort, baby. That’s Jesus keeping His promise.”

Supporting Scriptures (KJV)

  • Psalm 147:3“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”

  • Isaiah 66:13“As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you…”

  • John 14:18“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”

Tip of the Day

Let grief speak—but don’t let it silence love. Comfort often comes in small, sacred ways. Be open to them.

 Prayer

Dear Lord, Thank You for seeing our sorrow and calling us blessed in it. For every child who mourns, for every heart that aches, be near. Let Your comfort come gently—through memories, through kindness, through Your Word. Teach us to walk through grief with grace, and to carry love forward even when it hurts. Thank You for the promise that we shall be comforted. Amen.

If I Could Give You Blessings

If I Could Give You Blessings

If I could give you blessings, I’d slip them in your shoes— Soft steps of mercy for the roads you didn’t choose. I’d stitch them in your pockets, where your trembling fingers hide, So when you reach for courage, you’ll find grace tucked inside.

I’d pour them in your coffee cup, warm and honey-sweet, To stir your weary mornings with a joy that tastes complete. I’d braid them through your laughter, so even when you cry, A thread of holy comfort would glisten in your sky.

I’d plant them in your garden, where the quiet prayers grow wild, With blooms of understanding for the inner, aching child. I’d write them on your windowsill in sunlight’s golden ink, So every time you look outside, you’ll pause and stop to think—

That you are not forgotten, not forsaken, not alone. That heaven sends its whispers in the softest undertone. And if I could give you blessings, I’d give you this today: The knowing that you’re cherished in a thousand quiet ways.

A Basket of Blessings From My Heart to Yours

📖 Opening Scripture (KJV)

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

Devotion: A Basket of Blessings From My Heart to Yours

If I could hand you something today, it wouldn’t be wrapped in ribbon or hidden in tissue—it would be a basket. Not just any basket, but one woven with prayer, lined with grace, and filled with blessings gathered from the garden of God’s goodness. It would be soft with mercy, fragrant with hope, and overflowing with joy.

Inside, you’d find peace for your anxious thoughts—like lavender tucked between pages of scripture. You’d find courage, shaped like a warm loaf of bread, ready to nourish your weary soul. You’d find laughter, like sunbeams caught in a jar, and forgiveness folded like a quilt stitched with second chances.

This basket isn’t mine alone—it’s passed from heart to heart, from one redeemed soul to another. Because when God blesses us, it’s never meant to be hoarded. His gifts multiply when shared. The more we pour out, the more He pours in. That’s the miracle of grace: it never runs dry.

But sometimes we forget. We clutch our baskets tight, afraid there won’t be enough. We compare our blessings to others’ baskets and miss the beauty of our own. Yet God gently reminds us: “Child, I am the source. I am the giver. I am the overflow.” And when we open our hands, we find they were never empty.

So today, I offer you this basket—not because I’m perfect, but because I’ve been blessed. And tucked inside is the greatest gift of all: the invitation to know the Giver Himself. His name is Jesus. He doesn’t just fill baskets—He fills hearts. He doesn’t just bless—He saves.

To receive Him, it’s as simple and sacred as ABC:

  • Admit you are a sinner in need of grace (Romans 3:23)

  • Believe that Jesus died and rose again for you (Romans 10:9)

  • Confess Him as Lord and call on His name (Romans 10:13)

That’s the beginning of a life where your basket never empties—because it’s held by nail-scarred hands that never let go.

So from my heart to yours, take this blessing. Let it remind you that you are loved, chosen, and invited into a story of eternal abundance.

💡 Tip of the Day

Write down three blessings you’ve received this week—then share one with someone else. Blessings grow best when planted in others.

📖 Scripture Recommendation

  • James 1:17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above…

  • Psalm 103:2Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits…

  • Philippians 4:19But my God shall supply all your need…

🙏 Matching Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You for the basket of blessings You’ve placed in my life. Help me to see them, savor them, and share them. I admit my need for You, believe in Your saving love, and confess You as my Savior. Fill my heart with Your joy, my hands with Your grace, and my life with Your purpose. May I be a blessing to others, just as You have been to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

In His Steps of Grace I Will Not Fall - Coloring Page - Devotion

Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

 Devotion: Steps of Grace

Every journey begins with a step. And when those steps are guided by grace, even the rocky paths become holy ground. God doesn’t just point us in the right direction—He walks with us, steadying our stride, whispering truth with every footprint. His path isn’t always easy, but it’s always good.

To stay in His steps is to trust the pace of heaven. It means slowing down when we want to rush, standing still when we want to run, and moving forward when fear says “freeze.” Grace doesn’t push—it invites. It doesn’t demand—it delights. And when we walk in grace, we walk in rhythm with the heart of God.

But oh, how tempting it is to wander. The world offers shortcuts, shiny distractions, and paths paved with pride. Yet every detour away from God’s steps leads to weariness. The farther we stray, the heavier our hearts become. Grace calls us back—not with shame, but with a gentle “Come home.”

Staying in His steps means choosing obedience over impulse, faith over fear, and truth over trend. It’s not about perfection—it’s about direction. Even if we stumble, grace catches us. Even if we pause, grace waits. Even if we forget, grace remembers. His path is patient, and His presence is near.

And here’s the sweetest truth: God doesn’t just order our steps—He delights in them. He celebrates every act of trust, every moment of surrender, every quiet yes. Your walk with Him is not a checklist—it’s a love story. One step at a time, He writes redemption into your journey.

If you’ve never taken that first step with Jesus, today is the perfect day. Salvation is not earned—it’s received. It begins with the ABCs:

  • Admit you are a sinner (Romans 3:23)

  • Believe Jesus died and rose again for you (Romans 10:9)

  • Confess Him as Lord and call on His name (Romans 10:13)

That’s the first step of grace—and it leads to eternal life.

So walk with Him. Stay close. Let grace guide your feet and love light your way. Because every step with Jesus is a step toward home.

💡 Tip of the Day

When you feel pulled in too many directions, pause and whisper: “Lord, lead my next step.” Grace always answers.

📖 Scripture Recommendation

  • Proverbs 3:6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  • Isaiah 30:21…This is the way, walk ye in it…

  • John 10:27My sheep hear my voice… and they follow me.

🙏 Matching Prayer

Lord, I want to walk in Your steps—not just today, but always. Help me resist the urge to wander. Let Your grace guide my feet, Your truth steady my heart, and Your love light my path. I admit my need for You, believe in Your saving power, and confess You as Lord. Lead me, step by step, into the life You’ve written for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

My Story is In God's Hands - Folk Song, Devotion, Coloring Page

 Starting Scripture (KJV)

Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Devotion: My Story Is in God’s Hands

There’s something sacred about a blank page. It holds possibility, mystery, and the quiet thrill of what could be. And when we say, “My story is in God’s hands,” we’re not handing Him a finished manuscript—we’re offering the pen. We’re saying, “Write what You will God. I trust Your plan.”

God doesn’t write in straight lines. He writes in spirals and seasons. He scribbles grace in the margins and doodles mercy over mistakes. His handwriting is holy, even when it’s hard to read. And the chapters we’d rather skip? He turns them into footnotes of faith.

Sometimes we want to snatch the pen back. We think we know the ending. We try to edit the pain, rewrite the waiting, or delete the detours. But God is the Author who sees the whole arc. He knows that the valley is where the character grows, and the silence is where the soul learns to sing.

Your story isn’t just being written—it’s being held. Held in hands that shaped galaxies, calmed storms, and cradled crosses. Hands that never drop what they love. Hands that turn ashes into beauty and brokenness into blessing. You are not a rough draft. You are a masterpiece in motion.

And here’s the sweetest part: God doesn’t just write your story—He reads it with delight. He lingers over the lines of your laughter, bookmarks your bravery, and rereads your prayers like poetry. You are His favorite narrative, not because you’re perfect, but because you’re His.

So today, let go of the pen. Let Him write. Let Him surprise you. Let Him fill the pages with you never imagined and endings that echo eternity. Your story is not stuck. It’s sacred. And the Author is still writing.

Because when your story is in God’s hands, every chapter—yes, even this one—is part of something glorious.

💡 Tip of the Day

Write a short note to yourself: “This chapter matters.” Tape it to your mirror or tuck it in your Bible. Let it remind you that God is still writing. Walk in His will, put your trust in Him.

📖 Scripture Recommendation

  • Jeremiah 29:11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you…

  • Psalm 139:16…in thy book all my members were written…

  • Romans 8:28All things work together for good…

🙏 Matching Prayer

Lord, I place my story in Your hands. Not just the polished pages, but the messy ones too. Write with grace, edit with mercy, and fill every line with Your love. Help me trust the chapters I don’t understand, and rejoice in the ones You’ve already redeemed. May my life be a living letter of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Poem/Song: When I Rejoice It's Because

Coloring Page and Devotion

When I Rejoice, It’s Because…

When I rejoice, it’s because The morning came again— Sunbeams spread across my floor Like mercy without end.

When I rejoice, it’s because The sparrow found her song, And even in the silence, I knew where I belong.

When I rejoice, it’s because The hurt did not define me, And grace, like gentle rain, Chose once more to remind me.

When I rejoice, it’s because The prayer I whispered low Was heard by One who answers In ways I’ll never know.

When I rejoice, it’s because I am redeemed of God. My tears watered my garden, He sent me a sunbeam.

When I rejoice, it’s because The broken things renew, God lovingly holds and heals, Abundant blessings not few.

When I rejoice, it’s because My heart, though worn, believes. He Strengthens with kindness— And weaves within me peace.

When I rejoice, it’s because I live, I’m loved, I’m saved. I am found, I’m heaven-bound. Gloriously in His ways.

Psalm 119:14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

🌸 Devotion: Rejoicing in His Ways

Rejoicing isn’t just a response—it’s a rhythm. It’s the soul’s way of dancing when the world says “sit still.” And when we rejoice in His ways, we’re not celebrating ease or comfort—we’re celebrating alignment. We’re saying, “Lord, Your path is better than my plan. Your truth is richer than my treasure.”

His ways are not always paved with petals. Sometimes they wind through wilderness, pause in waiting rooms, or echo in empty places. But even there, we rejoice—not because the road is smooth, but because the Guide is faithful. His testimonies are the trail markers that remind us: we’re not lost, we’re led.

To rejoice in His ways is to find delight in discipline, beauty in boundaries, and peace in purpose. It’s realizing that obedience isn’t a burden—it’s a blessing. Like a child who learns to walk by holding a parent’s hand, we find joy not in the steps, but in the One who steadies us.

And oh, how clever His ways are. He hides healing in hardship. He tucks wisdom into waiting. He wraps grace around grief. His ways are layered like honeycomb—sweet, structured, and strong. When we pause to notice, we find ourselves whispering, “This is better than I imagined.”

Rejoicing in His ways means we stop measuring life by outcomes and start measuring it by obedience. It’s not about what we gain—it’s about who we become. And every time we choose His way over our own, we grow a little more into the image of the One who walked it first.

So today, rejoice. Not because everything makes sense, but because His ways are good. Rejoice like a daisy in sunlight, like a sparrow in song, like a heart that knows it’s held. Rejoice because you’re walking with Him—and that, dear soul, is the richest thing of all.

Because when we rejoice in His ways, we’re not just walking—we’re worshiping.

💡 Tip of the Day

When faced with a decision, ask: “Which choice reflects His character?” Rejoicing begins when our steps mirror His heart.

📖 Scripture Recommendation

  • Isaiah 55:9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways…

  • Proverbs 3:6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

  • Psalm 37:23The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord…

🙏 Matching Prayer

Lord, teach me to rejoice in Your ways—even when they stretch me, surprise me, or slow me down. Let my heart delight in Your testimonies, and my steps follow Your truth. Fill me with joy that doesn’t depend on circumstance, but on closeness to You. May I walk with wonder, obey with gladness, and trust with peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
