Hungering and Thirsting After Righteousness Coloring Page
Keep your heart close to God's Word make it your best friend.
We know that our heart is where it needs to be when we are hungering and thirsting
for God and his righteousness. In doing so we would grow strong towards God thriving with lush fruit. Showing forth a prosperous Christian closeness with God. Stay close and steady, and stand strong by the waters of God's peace, joy, and direction.
There is a joy that is worldly and a joy that is Godless, but let our joy be the joy found
in Christ.
Have you ever been so thirsty you thought you might die?
When we think of how we should long after God
we could think of the hart, (the deer) as it searches for the waters of life.
Without water, it would surely die. It can not live without it.
The deer resides by the water, he finds rest and peace.
Christ is our salvation, Jesus himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."
It is impossible to find eternal life without Christ Jesus. Just as the deer can't live without water. It's impossible to
grow strong towards God without staying in God's Word and thinking about God.
Walking in the paths of righteousness. Doing and thinking the right things.
Our desires should be pleasing to God and our hearts should stay close to God.
We should not have our hearts set more closely to other things, but keeping our hearts
close to the heart of God.
It's impossible to know the things of God without first accepting Christ and what He did for us upon the cross of Calvary.
God's desire is that people be saved by believing in Christ as the only way of salvation.
Just as the deer who receives the water, we must receive the water of truth.
The water of eternal life.
If you plant your tree where it can receive good water it will thrive in the fruit of God's Spirit, but if your tree takes in strange water, such as polluted water, such as sewage, poisoned water, salty water, stagnant or gray water. These waters can kill your tree or make them very sick. These kinds of water would not be considered good water for your tree.
Now supposing we were the tree in Psalms 3:1
Anything contrary to what scripture teaches is considered unclean water. Different religions that teach other Gods are not clean water. The Bible teaches that Christ alone is the way of salvation and if any teaches otherwise they are offering unclean water. If you are involved in some of the occultic things it is poisonous water to a Christian's life. God loves people, but he does not want us to continue in those things which will hinder or destroy us. If we rebel and continue in these things, In that case, the promise in the description of a healthy tree does not apply.
God gives us a shepherd He's the church's pastor, a teacher of truth, and also protects the flock from dangers and false doctrine. There are so many lies in this world that could hinder you from true belief in Christ. Christ is the only way of salvation it says in John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
John 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
John 10:9-11 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: (But) I come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
A tree has roots that reach down into the ground to bring in the water that makes it strong.
However, if a tree is planted in a place that prevents water, perhaps, the ground underneath is rocky.
The tree will struggle more because it does not get the water it needs. It will wither and shed its leaves
and slowly die of thirst.
The water of the Word is what God Speaks of in John 4:14
John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Psalms 1:1-6
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. {wither: Heb. fade}
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
