Morning breaks in golden light;

But higher still Your glory shines.

Hearts awaken to thy grace;

As heaven’s day conquers the night.

Verse 2

Flowers turn to catch the rays:

Yet eyes can’t fathom what You’ve done.

For every beam of earthly sun;

Fades beside Your brighter blaze.

Sonshine from above, You reign in endless love.

Church bells ring, the angels sing, “Our Savior’s light has come!”

Sonshine fills our hearts, Your radiance never parts

We lift our voice, in You rejoice—Eternal radiant Son.

Storms may rage and shadows fall;

But in Your presence, fears retreat.

Each promise Heav’n’s own Son reveals;

A lighthouse standing firm and tall.

Higher than the mountain peaks;

Sweeter than the morning song;

Your mercy warms the coldest soul;

And calls us to forever long.
