Says Happy Birthday, America!”
(One‑Puppet Script — Hooty the Owl)
(Curtain opens. Hooty pops up, wings fluttering with
excitement.)
HOOTY: Hoo‑hoo! Hello, boys and girls! It’s me —
Hooty the Owl! And today is a VERY special day… It’s America’s BIRTHDAY! Two
hundred and fifty years of blessings from our great God!
(Hooty looks toward an imaginary flag.)
HOOTY: Do you see that beautiful flag waving? Ohhh,
children… that flag reminds me of something wonderful. It reminds me that God
has loved America from the very beginning. The Bible says, “Blessed is
the nation whose God is the LORD.” That’s Psalm 33:12 — KJV, of course!
(Hooty nods proudly.)
HOOTY: America has honored God in so many ways — by
praying, by helping others, by sending missionaries, and by letting people
worship Jesus freely. And God has blessed us with freedom, families, churches,
and hope!
(Hooty flaps his wings happily.)
HOOTY: Now children… I want you to do something very
special with me. Let us all stand together… Let us place our hands over our
hearts… And let us say the Pledge to our Flag to show our love for
America — the land God has blessed for 250 years!
(Hooty pauses reverently.)
HOOTY: All right, children… Let’s say it together…
(Hooty bows his head slightly as if listening to the
children recite.)
HOOTY: Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! Your voices
sounded like a choir of little patriots!
(He lifts his wings joyfully.)
HOOTY: And now… from the bottom of my feathery heart…
I want to say:
🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
AMERICA! 🎉 🎉 GOD BLESS OUR
COUNTRY! 🎉
(Hooty gives a big, proud hoot.)
HOOTY: Hoo‑hoo! Keep loving God… Keep loving America…
And keep shining bright for Jesus!
🦉 Hooty the Owl’s Call to
the Children
Hooty lifted his wing toward the flag, his eyes shining with
joy.
“Children,” he said softly, “now let us all stand together.
Let us place our hands over our hearts. Let us say the Pledge to our flag — to
show our love for America, the land God has blessed for 250 years.”
The children stood proudly, voices bright and thankful.
And when the pledge was finished, Hooty flapped his wings
with delight and called out:
🎉 “Happy Birthday,
America!” 🎉 🎉 God bless our
country!” 🎉

LESSON
🦉 Hooty the Owl Praises God for
His Love Over America
Hooty lifted his wings toward the sky,
his eyes shining with joy. “Children,” he said softly, “before we end our
celebration, let us praise our God — because He loves us so much.”
The flag fluttered gently behind him as
he spoke.
“God has watched over America from the
very beginning. He has given us freedom, families, churches, and hope. He has
blessed our land with beauty, strength, and courage. And He has loved us with
an everlasting love.”
Hooty quoted the King James Bible with a
tender voice:
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me,
saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love.” — Jeremiah 31:3
(KJV)
“That love,” Hooty said, “is why we
praise Him today. America has seen hard times and good times — but through them
all, God has been faithful. He has blessed our homes, our churches, and our
nation. And He is worthy of all our thanks.”
Hooty bowed his head reverently. “Let us
say together: Praise God, for He loves us so much! And may God continue to
bless our country — today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.”
The children lifted their voices
joyfully: “Praise God! God bless America!”
Hooty smiled, his feathers glowing like
silver. “That,” he said, “is the sound of a thankful nation under God.”
