We Need Your Blessing

The Storehouse Is The Church
Malachi 3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the
storehouse, that there may be meat
in mine house, and prove me now
herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will
not open you the windows of heaven,
 and pour you out a blessing,
that there shall not be room enough to
receive it.

Prepare your hearts to receive a blessing.  Give to God without complaint.
God wants us to be cheerful about giving to him.   He promises to open the windows of heaven.
Be a faithful giver to God and then God will be faithful in giving to you.  This is a promise to God's children.

I have corrected something on this poster

Prepare your hearts to receive a blessing. Give to God without complaint.
God wants us to be cheerful about giving to him. He promises to open the windows of heaven.
Be a faithful giver to God and then God will be faithful in giving to you. This is a promise to God's children. You want to love him more..? Love him in your giving to him.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.

Raulie Considers the Poor

Or Rally -

I shrunk the verse down by 70%
so the words would fit the chart.

At the beginning of your lesson:
Use one to read out loud having
the kids repeat after you.

Cut one into words
for the memory verse chart.
Read the verse together once.
Then have a child remove a word.
Read the verse again, then remove another word.
Keep on doing the same thing until all the words are gone.
By the end, they should be able to recite the verse
without reading them.

Don’t Get Gonged Answers:

Obey Your Parents.

Do not ignore the poor.

Coloring Sheet

We hide God's word in our hearts that we can know how to live for and to please God.
Knowing God's word and prayer helps us make good decisions in life.
God is the one who teaches us through his Word, to hide his word in our hearts.
Raulie has a sensitive heart towards God and towards other people.
God teaches us to love him and to love others.  Firstly and most importantly we are to love the family of God.  We learn Bible verses to hide God's word in our hearts.

 Psalms 119:11 ¶ Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Practice saying your verses and practice telling other people.

Raulie Considers the Poor

Raulie, worked a newspaper route early in the morning before school.  He rode his bike from home to home.  One morning he saw a family rummaging the trashcans for food.  One of them had no shoes on his feet.   His heart felt sad but he didn’t know what to do.  He couldn’t leave off his job to check on them.  He was specifically instructed by his father to stay with the route and to get home as soon as possible to eat and to get his bag for school.

 Once Raulie was at school, he continued to think about the people he saw and decided all he could do was pray.  The best thing we can do is pray for someone when we can do nothing else.

 Raulie decided later that he would put a dollar of his pay into a separate envelope.  He did this each time he got paid.   Soon Raulie collected ten dollars, then soon it became twenty dollars.

 Raulie was out on his newspaper route and noticed his neighbor fumbling about in shoes that were falling apart.  He thought in his heart that his neighbor needed help but he knew he needed to wait and talk to his parents before helping anyone.

 That morning he had time to talk to his father about their neighbor needing help.  His father agreed to go to check on their elderly neighbor.  "Dad, He said, I’ve been able to save twenty dollars towards helping anyone who I see that needs help."  "I’m so proud of you, my son,  His father said.  "I will double the twenty dollars if we see we need to help our neighbor. "

 His father prayed with his son and they left together to check on their neighbor Mr. Banner.

Mr. Banner weakly opened the door when he heard his doorbell.  They talked to Mr. Banner for a while about his needs.  Mr. Banner had no food and had no clothes to warm him through the winter.  He was recovering from being very sick.

 Raulie's family, put their money together and went shopping to buy Mr. Banner winter clothing and both fresh and dry goods.

 God wants us to help those that can not help themselves. The bible says in:

 James 2:16

And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

Proverbs 29:7

The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

 When we pray, God will lead us to know who to help and when we should help.  We know, that God wants us to consider others.  Sometimes God wants us, to give just to show the love of God.  It may be just as small as an iced cookie with sprinkles or $100.00 towards a new baby’s future.  Sometimes God blesses us just because we need to know we are loved.  Other times God wants us to give to those who are truly in need like Mr. Banner.

We also need to remember that God promises blessings to his children that give without grudging.  We are to give of our tithes and our offerings to the Lord.  He promises that he will open the windows of heaven and shower us with blessings.  He also promises if we do not hear the cry of the poor even though we have the ability to help, then God will not hear our cries when we need help.

 Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Proverbs 21:13 ¶ Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

 Remember God considered us as poor lost sinners in need.  What did we need?  We needed saved from our sins.  God paid the price and provided a way.  Jesus Christ his precious Son came to die for our sins.  Will you believe that Christ died for you and paid the price for your sins?  Will you believe that you are forgiven under his blood, shed for you?  Jesus arose from the dead and when you trust him, he will live in your heart and comfort your soul as you trust him and praise him.  Ask him today for his great salvation which is found only through his Son, Christ Jesus.

 I pray this in Christ's name, that you will be saved and know Jesus today.

 Susan Y Nikitenko October 23rd, 2021©

Father God, If there is anyone here today that does know you as Saviour, I pray you will open their eyes and hearts today to understand that without Jesus we are in need spiritually and that's why God sent his Only-begotten Son to die for our sins.  God considered the poor both physically and spiritually.  I pray you will use us today to teach your truth clearly as we teach.  Give each one here the understanding of your love and forgiveness.  I pray anyone here who needs to be saved would truly want to know you and live for you today..  In Christ Jesus' name, I pray this amen.

Colors Of Blessing

By: Susan Y Nikitenko 2009©
Revised 2010©

Could the angels have special jobs;
Like painting leaves of fall?
Can’t mighty God do anything?
He has created all.

Perhaps angels spread forth their wings;
To paint the swirls of fall.
Upon the trees of mountain tops;
And on the forests tall.

A swish of orange, a splash of gold;
A whirl of autumn red.
Every creature great and small;
I’m sure would lift their head.

From tree to tree each color grows;
and spreads across the land.
A gift from God to be enjoyed;
Made by his perfect hand.

Each angel flying here and there;
Spreading colors of joy.
And when leaves flutter to the ground;
It makes a rainbow toy. - (A pile of leaves)

Children jumping, children laughing;
In the colorful mounds.
Up pops a smiling little face;
With all the fun-filled sounds.

And like a child I too will laugh;
I’ll jump right in with glee.
And enjoy these lovely blessings;
He’s given you and me.

Orange leaves of family laughter;
Red leaves a promise of grace.
Yellow a golden forever;
In the arms of God's embrace

I’m not too old to play in leaves;
Too old to have some fun.
I’ll roll around and giggle too;
     and I’ll have joy in God's Son.

For He fills my heart with laughter;
He is so good you see.
He’s painted this, a lovely world;
 It is inside of me.

Jumping daily in His presence;
A colorful array.
Jump into Joy, Jump into peace;
By trusting Him every day.

Jump happily, into kindness;
Jump with glee into love.
Be content and be hopeful;
Looking to Him above.

Leave a lasting essence of hope;
To all eyes watching you.
A rainbow of blessings awaits;
Come, jump into it too.

-I wrote this poem as a reaction to something else I read. I started thinking about my children when they were little. I was missing my small children because they were growing up.
I was thinking of having another child. I was also thinking about children who are in heaven. Years ago, someone had lost a baby and I was talking to her and God gave me something to say.
I told her, "I believe God gives babies special jobs in heaven." That was the first time I ever heard that.. out of my own mouth. I remembered that when I wrote this poem. God gives us joy through our sorrow..when we trust Him. He's our comforter. God's Son, is finding Jesus Christ... and teaching my children about Him. I was wanting the reader to get the picture of what I was talking about and the feeling that comes along with loving your children and playing with them.  We can have fun teaching children about God's Son.  Through games and fun activities.  After all, the most important thing to teach your children is about God and his Son.

Love Those That Hurt Us

Love Those That Hurt Us

Good morning young people,

Today we are continuing our series of lessons about the power of God through His Spirit in us.   Our series began with the greatest Commandments "loving God with all our heart and loving others as Christ has loved us." I will be speaking about forgiveness again today.  Forgiveness is vital in a Christian's walk with God, for a number of reasons.  We will be talking about some of those reasons this morning.

 On the first page of your folder, You will find a prayer that we are going to pray together in unison.  By praying in unison you will learn how to pray and learn about the importance of unity.  Please let us pray in agreement as we seek God's blessing on each of us this morning and upon these lessons.

Heavenly Father,  We come to you in humbleness of heart knowing none of us deserve your forgiveness.  We are grateful for your blessing upon us, your salvation, through your precious blood shed for us.  Help us to be the people you want us to be.  Teach us to walk in your Spirit and live by your power.  Help us forgive those that have hurt us because that is how you have forgiven us.  Bless all those here today with understanding and save those that need to know your salvation and your mercy.  We pray that today, each one here would commit their hearts and lives to you in both word and deed.  We pray this in Christ name Amen

I would like to remind you, before we continue, Be sure to pay attention and take notes so that you will be prepared to answer some questions at the end of this lesson.  Be sure to keep all your notes from week to week until the conclusion of this series.  You will use those notes to prepare for our "BIG DAY BIBLE BEE".   Please do not interrupt with any questions until we are open for discussion.  Thank-you.
-----
God commands for us to forgive as He has forgiven us.  So how has he forgiven us?

1. He has forgiven us when we didn't deserve it.
2. He has forgiven us and does not remember it.
3. He has forgiven us our sins
4. He forgives us patiently
5. He treats us as if we never sinned.
6. He sacrificed his life to forgive us.
7. God will bless us even when we hurt him. ( Read Romans 1:16)

    Today I'm going to start with # 7 on our list.   God, sometimes will bless us when we hurt him.  The bible teaches us to bless those that hurt us.  This is a very hard thing to do, especially if it is something that has impacted change in our lives that has caused pain and trauma.   Blessing someone is not just saying bless you.  A blessing is seen in actions.
Jesus went through life-changing trauma.  He saw the faces of growling hatred towards him. He was mocked, spit upon, stripped and his clothing was gambled for, beaten with a whip, which tore his skin till bone was visible, hit,  His beard was plucked until bloody,   He could not be recognized. He was forsaken by his friends, They put a crown with huge thorns upon his head, the blood flowed down.  He was nailed to the cross, through both hands and feet.  He had to lift his body with his nailed hands and feet to take one breath and each time he needed to take another breath.
They laughed as He was going through this and made fun of him.  He was given vinegar to drink upon his cracked dry lips. Which caused burning.  He was shown no mercy.  A spear was jabbed into his side and blood and water gushed out of him.  How did Jesus bless them through the horrible pain and agony?
He prayed for them.  He prayed that God would forgive them because they didn't know what they were doing.

(Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment and cast lots.)

Somebody noticed that blessing.  Not only did He witness that blessing, but He noticed Jesus forgive the repentant thief.  But it was when Jesus said it was finished.  The earth shook and the sky darkened.  The
ground opened and people arose from the dead.  The power of God was evident.  The centurion, most likely, the one that put the spear through his side, was miraculously saved along with others who were with him.  This is what He said.

(Mt 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.)

 He and others with him believed upon the Son of God.  Jesus blessed those that hurt him.  Jesus prayed and people got saved. People that helped crucify him.  The people were saved because of Jesus praying.  He blessed those who hurt him.  Jesus definitely had prayer power.

--- continued tonight

     The Bible teaches us that we have all sinned and sometimes even as Christians we may have failed the Lord in some area of our lives.  Sometimes it's hard to forgive ourselves.  Somehow what we have already been forgiven of, what we have already confessed.  The devil wants to bring it back up in our hearts and minds.  We are accused daily by the devil before God.  God doesn't remember it anymore.  Somebody might say, "How can God ever use me again?"  Well, when God forgives it's for keeps.   If you have confessed that sin and repented of it.  You must forgive yourself because God has forgiven you already.   You are not a bigger judge than God, you must forgive yourself.  Just put that guilt in the Lords' hands. He's forgiven you, quit beating yourself up.  Young people if you've messed up somehow,  it's not too late to get it right. Sometimes we make choices that hurt ourselves.  We must learn to love ourselves and forgive ourselves so that we are able to love others.  Continue in the Lord.
Forgive others and forgive yourself.  We can't change the past but we can be victorious in our future.

Roman 6:1-22 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? - ....God Forbid.
Asking Forgiveness

 When we became born again we do not have to ask God for forgiveness anymore, even if we did something wrong. We confess our sins but no longer have to ask forgiveness.  True Or False

Mathew 6:9 -15 .....verse 12
After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

(We must get our own hearts right with our brother/sister before God will forgive us.)
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

When we sin we hurt our relationship with the Heavenly Father. We grieve the Holy Spirit. When we have gone on without restoring that relationship by asking forgiveness and the confessing of our sins, we can not live in the peace and joy the Lord has spoken of to us. Our lives will not exemplify the Holy Spirit's attributes in our lives. Sometimes this also happens when our faith has been tried for a very long period of time and we begin to doubt. We have to restore our relationship with our Heavenly Father just like we do with people. God will not bless our prayer if we have ought against our brother/sister The Bible tells us to first go to our brother/sister then God will bless our prayers. Your brother or sister will never be able to say you didn't try. God wants you to forgive your brother/sister from the heart, even if they will not accept your attempts to restore a relationship with them. Then our prayers will be heard for our own forgiveness. If we are truly saved you cannot lose our salvation, but an unforgiving heart means disobedience has hindered our relationship with God. Therefore, our effectiveness as a Christian is also hindered. God's will is for us to humble ourselves even if we are not the guilty one. If we do this God will bless us for our obedience and give us the grace to love those that do not love us.

   God will chastise ( punish in love) His children when they rebel against His desire for them.  He chastens those he loves.  God wants his children to repent from unforgiveness or any other sin hindering thier relationship with God.

   If you have never asked Jesus to save you If you have never asked Christ Jesus into your life. That means you are not God's child and you will not go to heaven.  Christ has died for your sin.  He suffered for you and He wants you to accept Him and believe He died for you.  He wants you to follow him with your whole heart.  He died for you and arose from the dead on the third day.  He could do that because He is God.  He died for you but it only applies to you, when you believe upon Him and trusts Him as your personal Saviour.  Do you want to know 100%  that if you would die today, that you would go to heaven?  God does not want anyone to go to hell, He wants you to follow Him, He wants you to come to Him and ask Him to save your soul from sin and the Hell to come for all those that do not believe upon Him.

Father God. Thank you so much for your forgiveness to us and everything you did for us at Calvary and everything you do for us now. I pray that you will give each one here, each one listening,
the grace to forgive, even when it's hard.  Because that is how you have forgiven us and that is your will for us.  I pray that hearts will get right today and the discouraged will be empowered to do your will.  I pray for those here that do not know you, have not trusted you.  I pray that their eyes of understanding would be opened and they would follow you with their whole heart.  I pray they would believe upon Christ for the salvation of their soul.   I pray this in the name of Christ Jesus Our Lord and Saviour   Amen

A Vine of Blessing

A Vine Of Blessing

I found a blessing in my garden;
It was a pleasant  surprise.
I saw a lovely flower blooming;
It was then I realized.

It wasn't just some random flower;
It was  a pumpkin vine.
I felt blest to see a pumpkin bloom;
At this late season of time.

The leaves are falling from the tree tops;
Autumn's flowers seem to wait.
I wonder if it will grow a pumpkin;
If the snow will hesitate.

Even so I'm happy just to know;
That God blesses our good deeds.
Even through a growing pumpkin vine;
A vine of truth, a faithful seed.
.
God does not forget a work of faith;
That by grace and faith was sewn.
It will one day bear fruit blest by God;
Even if it is on its own.

One day we will just be a memory;
But faithful fruit will last.
Even through a lonely seed planted;
By God on our behalf.

 Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Galations 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
