(The Little Foxes)
Jonah ran from what God wanted him to do. When Jonah ran away, he was being rebellious to what God wanted him to do. God would not let Jonah rebel without consequences. God prepared a great fish ahead of time and God had that great fish swallow him.
God gave Jonah a choice, you either obey me or you're going to die. Jonah then became obedient. This is just one of many stories about disobedience. The other person I'd like to mention is King Saul,
Samuel the profit visited King Saul one day and King Saul was bragging about all his sacrifices to God. Samuel told King Saul that he was in rebellion against God. He wasn't willing to do things God's way. He would not obey God but He would make sacrifices.
Samuel told King Saul He was rebellious and God no longer wanted him as King. He told him rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. He went on and on about the sacrifices he had made but did not obey God. God wants us to obey and do things his way. Jesus said, if you love me you will obey me.
John 2:1
Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly,
John 2:10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
The love of money is a very dangerous thing. The Bible teaches us that the love of money is the root of ALL evil. the reason criminals happen is that they are controlled by money. I heard recently of young adults stealing brand-new cars off the dealership parking lot.
They have been creative in the wrong way. Caniving and coming up with money-making ideas. If they feel that someone is in their way they will try to get rid of the person that they feel is a threat to them. The love of money can lead them to do many things, they learn to take advantage of the vulnerable. They could enslave a person without them ever knowing it. Some of these money-making rich kids are brilliant and creative in doing evil things.
Solomon was concerned for his children. He had seven hundred wives and 300 concubines. The Bible does not give a clear account of how many children Solomon had.
Solomon had married into many religions and beliefs.
The palace had idols in it and confusion. Solomon wanted the false teaching and the idols removed from the palace. He wanted anything removed that would bring harm to his tender grape clusters. If all his wives had children, it would be 700 clusters of grapes. Remove the foxes. He wanted his children to know the true God and wanted to be blessed by God. He wanted the idols and anything else removed that could harm his children. He wanted his children to be raised the way he wanted them raised.

Now this is only for people who really want to serve God and please God with their lives. We want to protect our tender grapes. We would need to remove the little foxes from our home. Anything that is contrary to what God wants you to teach. Bad Tv, Bad Music, Bad books. Anything evil or weird. Whatever you know God would not approve of. We need to love God and forsake evil.
