The Garden Of Your Life

Tiny Clips

Weeds keep your garden from being what it should be. In this garden of life, we compare weeds
to sin. Weeds choke good plants and sometimes kill them and they tend to take over your garden.
Pestilence can also overtake a garden and must be controlled consistently. We need to be vigilant and aware in our own life's garden, As it is written, "The devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour."
Preventing destructive things from happening takes determination and faithfulness, by obeying the instructions God has given us in His Word and seeking his guidance in prayer. God tells us to examine ourselves daily by looking into our own hearts and asking God to show us what we need to repent of in order to maintain a healthy garden.  To allow these things to stay and exist in our gardens would be very destructive and unfruitful.
Keeping constant will help it not become a huge chore, If it happens, that an enemy tries to destroy your garden it could be very difficult to get your garden the way it was and it also becomes very discouraging.  Do not let weeds overtake your heart and life. Examples would be anger, dissatisfaction, envy, distractions, pride, stubbornness, rebellion, disobedience to authority, and the love of money
 ( When you are willing to do wrong to get money or things then you love it too much), as it is written in scripture "The love of money is the root of all evil,"
Playing destructive or evil games that hurt or use others to gain control and most likely involve hate or witchcraft are dangerous weeds like poison ivy or hemlock. So is desiring wrong wicked things that God forbids. All these things mentioned will destroy our gardens now and the future of our garden. Possibly your future children will be affected by choices now. That's why God tells us we reap what we sow.  Our sins could visit our children's lives if we do not repent. God will show mercy to you and your future when you submit to his will for your life.  - Susan Nikitenko

The Seeds of Influence

 The Seeds of Influence

Spring is here, and there is so much to do.  I look out my window and think, look at all the work I have to do!

In the Spring a lot of things that look like they are dead and gone, start growing.  We see the fruit from seeds that grow from last year.  We are not talking about oranges and grapes but about tulips, peonies, and multiple other perennials. This is something that happens normally in the spring. As we see the garden grow, we are seeing more and more of what it’s producing.

Everything we do or don’t do in life is like planting seeds.  When we are dead and gone the seeds planted by our lives will continue to grow.

My dad died when my youngest child was a baby.  My dad was a dedicated provider for his family.  He worked three jobs to provide for our family when I was a toddler.  He liked to rebuild engines and he had a lot of friends. My dad liked to listen to me sing. I loved both my mom and my dad. My dad died suddenly from a massive heart attack. He died at 57 yrs old while chopping wood. He was always working up to the day he died.

My mother and my stepfather died about a year ago. I miss them both and think about them every day,

My mother was an excellent cook and consistently had meals on the table.  She was a good housekeeper and could do any craft.  She was a very gifted manager and a hard worker.  I looked up to her for all her good qualities.  My mother always used endearing words, like, Sweetheart, Honey, and Baby.

 My stepfather was a very hard worker and consistently took care of their property.  He took his mother with him to his work and she ran her little crafting/ flee market business up until she was in her 90s.  They died at the same time.  Their funerals were at the same time. They both worked up until the day they died.

-------------

Just recently, three people died that impacted my life. My Son In-laws mother died.  She was only 9 years older than me. She was the other grandmother to my grandchildren. She was a sweet Christian, a beautiful person.  She has been an influence on my grandchildren and my daughter.  She has planted some good seeds and those seeds will continue to grow in our hearts and the hearts of so many.

This past week two other great people died, Patch the Pirate and also Charles Stanley, both these men, through their ministries, impacted my life and also my family’s life.  As a young mother, I started listening to Charles Stanley and also Patch the Pirate.  I often sang Patch the Pirate songs as I reminded my children to be good and to have a better attitude.  I didn’t really have a stable home life in my youth, my mother left us. My dad had his own life. I quit school after my mother left and no one was there to encourage me otherwise.  Eventually, I did take the GED test.  When I was a teenager, I sought God even though I didn’t always make good decisions. I attended church and Sunday School consistently. The people of my church picked me up every Wednesday and Sunday for all services.

I made a profession of faith at seven years old and was baptized with my mother.  I made sure of my salvation and I was re-baptized just after turning 15 years old. I was saved in an Independent F Baptist Church. I met my husband and married at 23 years old.  We've been married for 36 years.

I did not know how to raise children and looked for that counsel through Charles Stanley’s Radio Ministry.  Patch the Pirate and also Focus on The Family’s Odyssey Audio Ministry was the biggest influence in raising our children in a way that would please God. I asked God to help me each day and I still ask God to help me each day.  He helped me through good people and their influence.

-------

You will always be an influence in our lives.  We miss you more each day and appreciate you more and more.  Your influence will be the flowers that grow in our hearts and lives and the strength that helps us to stand.  Love you Forever.

God uses our influence when we think our influence is done.

What Kind Of Root Is Growing In Your Heart? LESSON

What Kind Of Root Is Growing In Your Heart?
(Ephesians 4:26    Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:)

Good morning young people,

Today we are continuing our series of lessons about the power of God through His Spirit in us.   Our series began with the greatest Commandments "loving God with all our heart and loving others as Christ has loved us." I will be speaking about forgiveness today.  Forgiveness is vital in a Christian's walk with God, for a number of reasons.  We will be talking about some of those reasons this morning.

 On the first page of your folder, You will find a prayer that we are going to pray together in unison.  By praying in unison you will learn how to pray and learn about the importance of unity.  Please let us pray in agreement as we seek God's blessing on each of us this morning and upon these lessons.

Heavenly Father,  We come before you with praise and thankfulness for your forgiveness towards us. Help us understand just how powerful forgiveness is in the life of your children.  Search our hearts today and speak to our hearts as we learn
how to honor you with our lives.  Give us the grace to do the things you teach us to do and help us to live in your power.  Give us wisdom as we trust you and seek to please you with our lives. I'm reminded of this verse, Lord, let it be a beacon as we look to you this morning. Ephesians  6:10 ¶  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.   In the name of Christ Jesus,  We pray this, Amen

I would like to remind you, before we continue, Be sure to pay attention and take notes so that you will be prepared to answer some questions at the end of this lesson.  Be sure to keep all your notes from week to week until the conclusion of this series.  You will use those notes to prepare for our "BIG DAY BIBLE BEE".   Please do not interrupt with any questions until we are open for discussion.  Thank-you.

  Around seven or eight years ago, I was working in my garden.  There were three or four huge bushes growing on the side of my house.  They were very tall and very full, they took up a lot of room.  The former owner of our home planted them there years and years before.  I decided I wanted to get rid of them.  I cut them down, that was quite a chore, but honestly, the hard work had just begun.  I started to dig up the first root.  I worked nearly all day on one root, digging with my shovel and chopping with an ax.  I cannot remember exactly how many days I worked on digging those roots. Each day,  I was exhausted after working in the heat, my hair was a mess, my face was red and my hands had blisters.  I was dirty from the top of my head to the tip of my toe.  I was on the last root, digging and chopping, I couldn't get the root loose, I was tired and wanted to quit, but I was so close to being done.  My husband offered a hand and we got the last bit of root out together.   I'm telling you this story because the Bible speaks of a root, a root that can grow into your heart.  Once it grows there, it's hard to get rid of.  The root will rob you of your joy and of your peace.  It will rob you of your youth and of your health.

     Forgiveness is a choice and sometimes very hard to do.  It is something that requires great humility and dying to oneself.  It is obedience to God's will.
  Usually, if you're mad at someone you don't want to forgive them.  It is a struggle to forgive them, but when you want your life to be blessed by God and you want God pleased with you, you're going to ask God to help you to forgive.  It may take years of asking God to help you forgive until you finally you do.  I can say that because it took me a long time to forgive some things from my childhood.  Not forgiving only hurts yourself it doesn't hurt the one that hurt you unless they happen to love you, then it hurts them.

   Christ is within us if we know Christ as Saviour and we have the power to forgive things that are unforgivable.  We must not let our hearts become embittered.  If we do it hinders our walk with the Lord, our relationship with God suffers.  It grieves the Holy Spirit.
 Forgiveness is something we have to do every single day that we live.   God tells us to be angry and sin not.  So what does that mean?  When does anger become sin?

 There are a lot of injustices in life that make us angry, and justly so.  We should be angry at those things.  That's why we have law enforcement and laws to protect people.   Anger becomes sin when it starts taking control of us.  We can not go to bed angry lest it turns into a root of bitterness. When anger changes us and changes our relationships between people and with God, that's when it has taken hold.

 I remember when my eldest daughter came home from school angry over something a teacher had done.  I told my daughter "you must forgive her, you can not stay angry."  She refused to forgive her.  I prayed with her, she still refused to forgive her.  It was bedtime
and again we talked about forgiveness.  I taught her about the verse in the bible that says not to let the sun go down on our wrath.  (Ephesians 4:26    Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:) She still refused. I wouldn't let her go to sleep until she realized how important it was not to go to bed angry.  We put a gift together for her teacher and I taught her to show her teacher love and to apologize for sticking her tongue out at her.  She finally agreed after hours.  I didn't want my daughter to grow up bitter but to fight against the temptation by showing love.  We prayed until she was ready to obey.  I was so proud of her, it took strength to show love to her teacher.

We are not to go to bed angry about this world, but rather praising the Lord.  Our eyes can't be on the wind and the waves, but upon the one that can calm the sea.  He is the one we need to keep our eyes upon, not upon the many sorrows of life.  He's the one that helps us do the impossible, He's the one who helps us fight the battles of this life.

  Becoming bitter will make you old and sick and will hurt your own family.  I've had to cry out to God myself to help me forgive some things that have brought grief to my life.    Though we know these things, we are tested on them every time hurt or trouble comes along.  We must be dependant on God to overcome these obstacles.

  The Bible compares a root to bitterness, anger, and resentment.  All of these are out shoots of bitterness.  If you think about it the root could be almost any sin that can get hold of your life.
What kind of root is growing in your heart?
Please, let us ask ourselves this question as we talk about "Forgiveness".

Hebrews 12:15
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled

1 Peter 2:21
For even hereunto were ye called: because
Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example,
that ye should follow his steps:

Mark 1:4- 6
John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach
the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea,
and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized
of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
 And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with
a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he
did eat locusts and wild honey;

Believe In God's Forgiveness -  Coloring Page

Poster

I made this poster from the GIF I made.

1 John 1:4 - 10
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Do Ya Wanna Know What I'm Doin?

Do Ya Wanna Know What I'm Doin'?

Do ya wanna know what I'm doin' ?
I'm busy, trying...to keep my garden blooming.
I have a responsibility.
To the be best person I can be
Rain or shine, night or day, come what may.
May my life glorify God each day.

Do ya wanna know what I'm doin' ?
I'm busy trying ...to keep a prayer on my mind;
To smile, to have a good attitude.
Remember to be gentle and kind.
Rain or shine, night or day, come what may.
May my life glorify God each day.

Glorify, Glorify, Glorify,
Jesus Christ, God Almighty.
King of kings and Rock of Ages

In peace I hide myself
In Calvary.
In what my Christ
has done for me.

Do ya wanna know what I'm doin' ?
I'm busy trying ... to get over what hurts me.
What makes me cry, what makes me sigh.
 Let ... what others need be what I see.
Rain or shine, night or day, come what may.
May my life glorify God each day.

Do ya wanna know what I'm doin' ?
I'm busy trying...to make God first in my life.
I have much.. for which to be grateful.
Forgiveness, His love, His sacrifice.
Rain or shine, night or day, come what may.
May my life glorify God each day.

Glorify, Glorify, Glorify,
Jesus Christ, God Almighty.
Lord of lords:
and Great Redeemer.

 In peace, I hide myself
In Calvary.
In what my Christ
has done for me.

Do ya wanna know what I'm doin' ?
I'm busy trying... to keep my heart right and alight:
Acknowledging Him in everything.
That my life may be pleasing in God's sight.
Rain or shine, night or day, come what may.
May my life glorify God each day.

Glorify, Glorify, Glorify,
Jesus Christ, God Almighty.
Light of The World, and of my soul.

I Wonder What Adam Had to Say

Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:15
And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it

I Wonder What Adam Had To Say

God made the seas  that sparkle in the light of a bright new morning,
 The reflecting sunset setting side a glowing moon at peace,
He made the stars to shine above in a dark wide sky, I wonder why.
He made the feeling of rest, just being blest in a silent pleasant breeze.

God made trees with fancy leaves, filled with fruit and nuts to taste;
And the thrill of  the rolling hills, that shine bright in clover red.
He made the sheep that graze an oasis of peaceful waters;
And the deer with her fawn upon a leafy forest bed.

I wonder what Adam had to say, when he woke up on that day;
To see for the first time the great creation, that God had made.
He was formed from the dust of the ground, woke up to sight and to sound;
I'm sure He was awed at the good works of God, on that great day.

God made the crickets to sing together on the summer nights,
The rooster to crow good-morning  with a how do you do. Cockeldoodledoooo
He made the birds with wings , they love to  fly and to sing all day.
He made forests  and streams, waters that fall and ev'ry day new.

He made the day and the night, He made everything right;
The lizard, the frog, the ox , the dog, and the kitten so small.
The rowdy chipmunk, the squirrel and the skunk, but it didn't stink;
The bird and the beasts, the great and the least,  God made them all

I wonder what Adam had to say, when he woke up on that day;
To see for the first time the great creation, that God had made.
He was formed from the dust of the ground, woke up to sight and to sound;
I'm sure He was awed at the good works of God, on that great day.

 He woke up to God, who gave him a face  in a perfect place.
 He woke up to a blue sky, cranes flying by, the grass at his feet;
Elephants, kangaroos, chimpanzees  and zebras too.
He walked in the garden by the trees, found lots of food to eat.

All the animals gathered around Him, he gave each one a name;
The bunny, the bat, the raccoon, the cat, and the tiger too.
 He could set back and rest and knew he was blest, in his new world;
In the garden that God had made him, He had plenty to do.

I wonder what Adam had to say, when he woke up on that day;
To see for the first time the great creation, that God had made.
He was formed from the dust of the ground, woke up to sight and to sound;
I'm sure He was awed at the good works of God, on that great day.
