Popcorn Praise Lesson - Introduction And Banner - Restored

Song: Popcorn Praise

Praising The Lord No Matter What Pops Up

Introduction

There’s all kinds of things that happen to us in life.  Sometimes good things and sometimes bad things, sometimes happy things, sometimes disappointing things, sometimes joyful things, sometimes scary things and on we could go.  Each day is a day of choices and almost like popcorn they pop up to surprise us.  Then comes the choice of how to react to the surprises along life’s way. Some people wake up to a tragedy that comes along.  Like their house burning down or someone they love dies.  We all will face some kind of hardship in our life.  The most important thing through these hard times is knowing how to get through it without them changing us in a bad way.  God talks about hard times throughout the bible continuously.  Each bible story tells us something about facing life’s troubles.  Daniel facing the lions, David facing a giant, Moses facing angry Pharaoh, Ester, taken from her home.  Joseph being hated by His brothers. Paul and Silas in prison – God has given us non- stop examples of hardship and He shares with us the examples of others and their choices.
Some of us may be joyful today because of some great accomplishment, or a prayer that’s been answered.  Some of us may be angered inside over something someone did or didn’t do.  Everyday will be a new adventure of feelings and choices.  What are some of the problems you are facing today?  Are you very happy over anything?  Name some things God has given us in which we should be thanking him. (short time Of discussion.)
God does not want us to be controlled by our feelings, but wants us to react to our feelings – by following Godly choices based on Truth.  The truths we learn from God’s Word.  Praise is one of the choices the bible teaches us to do through both good and bad circumstances in life.
I’m not talking about the kind of praise and worship services some churches have today, but a time of personal praise spent between you and God or praise during a difficult time.
God answers the prayers of praising Christians.  God draws close to a person with a genuine heart of praise.  God uplifts the grieving through a personal time of praise.  God gives songs to those who long to praise Him.  God gives joy in the place of tears to those who will praise Him.  If one praises the feeling of joy soon follow.  Praising the Lord encourages our heart to go on in the faith.  Miracles happen in the life of a person who praises the Lord with a true heart.  The devil will flee in the presence of real praise especially praises that include the shedding of Christ blood at Calvary.
David gives us many examples of praise in the Psalms.  David was a man of praise and praised in both good times and bad times.  He praised through His problems.  Paul and Silas sang and praised the Lord after being thrown in prison for the cause of Christ.  Both Old and New Testament stories have taught that God reacts to praise.
We need to learn to praise the Lord no matter what pops up in life.  We can always tell God when we are angry, tell him when we are sad, tell him when we’ve been hurt, tell him when we’re happy, pray about things that need changed,  but to be a Christian Survivor,  we need to place our burden on Him and praise through life’s difficulties and by His leading take action as the Lord leads.

Not By Bread Alone - Children's Song

Thanksgiving Harvest Activities

Not By Bread Alone
Thanksgiving Song Poem

We live not by bread alone;
But by Gods Holy Word.
For through it we feed our souls;
And the Truth we learn.

Not by the fresh stuffed turkey;
Not the roasted ham.
Not by the sweet potatoes;
Not by candied yams.

Not by old fashioned cobbler;
On our window seal.
Not by the cinnamon buns;
That give our nose a thrill.

Not by the bread that’s baking,
Not by pumpkin pie;
Not by Grandma’s canned preserves;
Let me tell you why.

Jesus is the bread of life;
Jesus is the way.
Jesus satisfies our need;
When we read and praise.

He fills us with His presence;
Comforts us with grace.
Fills our hearts with thanksgiving;
When we seek His Way.

We learn, to love each other;
We learn how to give.
We learn how to please God;
And how to forgive.

We live not by bread alone;
But by Gods holy Word.
For through it we feed our souls;
And our hearts are stirred.

Thank the Lord for His blessings;
This thanksgiving day.
Thank Him for the living Word;
The bread of  God's Way.

Busy Building Up - Children's Song

Busy Building Up

There's a clink;
There's A clank;
There's a bang.

There's a clink;
There's A clank;
There's a bang.

Hammer's hammering ;
Upon the nails.
Building on Jesus;
A home that prevails.

The men are working;
On The Mission Field.
Busy praying;
Trying to rebuild.

There's a clink;
There's A clank;
There's a bang.

There's a clink;
There's A clank;
There's a bang.

Men on a mission;
In  their mission field.
Where ever they are;
Where ever they're skilled.

Busy building  up;
Not tearing down.
Spreading  good news;
Around and around.

The men are working;
On the mission field.
Busy praying;
Trying to rebuild.

It's A Jungle Out There! - Praise Series - Restored August 10th, 2014

 Banner

 It's A Jungle Out There!

Jungle, Jungle
It's  a Jungle out there.
Lion ,tigers;
monkeys too.
It's a jungle;
It's not a zoo.
Palms and braches;
Ferns and grasses;
Screeching, Squawking;
Animals stalking;
Some are burping;
Some are slurping;
It's a Jungle out there!
Green leaves waving;
Hippos bathing.
Elephants dancing;
Gazelle prancing;
Some are jumping;
Some are running;
It's a jungle out there!
Full of butterflies;
Bugs of every size;
Apes a swinging;
Many birds singing;
Flowers flourishing;
Babies nourishing;
It's a jungle out there!
Funny faces;
Blue oasis.
creeping , crawling;
moving, grooving ;
Red frogs, tree frogs;
turtles too.
It's a jungle;
But where- are- you?

I Love You

I Love You!

 I love you!
Is  the message - of the cross.
I love you!
Is the answer - for the lost.
Because when Jesus gave his life;
It was a great- love sacrifice.
Because there's no greater love;
Than our sins covered by His blood.
I love you!
Is found in John - 3:16
I love you!
Is the message- that I bring
Because when Jesus died for you;
What He did said - I love you.
And everlasting life is yours:
When you love and trust Him too.

Move Our Hearts To Sing

Move Our Hearts To Sing

Glorious;
 You are so glorious.

Morning star;

Who came to die for us.

Loving Lord;

Fill our lives with your joy;

Your love shine;

In every girl and boy.

Holy God;

Most high power divine.

You've held us;

With a love that is kind.

Heavenly;

Are all your perfect ways.

Praise you Lord;

You are worthy of praise.

Rescuer;

Of lost souls perishing.

Let your peace;

Move our hearts to sing.

Reach

 Reach upward:
Reach Inward.
Reach outward;
Reach all about.

Encourage your heart.
Encourage the world.
Going Onward;
In pleasing our Lord.

More than the moon.
Reach father than mars.
His coming is soon.

Reach others:
Reach mother;
Reach sisters;
Reach brothers.

Reach out with the news;
The love of the cross.
Reach for the fallen;
Reach out for the lost.

Stock Your Pond (Children's Song)

Stock Your Pond

There is an old murky pond;
Filled with slime from the past.
It reminds me of life's sin;
Where many wrongs were cast.

When I look back at my life;
I'm reminded again;
Not to fish at that old pond;
That reminds me of sin.

So when I go a fishin'.
I'll fish with guarantee.
Knowing that my pond is clean;
Because Jesus saved me.

When I stock my pond with fish;
Like faith and joy and peace.
I pray when others fish around;
They would see Jesus in me.

If you were a pond full of fishes;
What kind of fishes would swim?
Would they be fishes for Jesus?
Or would they be fishes of sin?

Stock your pond, Stock your pond;
With fish that bring joy and bless.
Stock your pond, Stock your pond;
With the truth of righteousness.

So when someone goe's a fishin' ;
With their fishin'  pole.
They would only find good fish;
At the fishin', hole.

(Children's Song)

The word fishes is not the proper word but it makes the song fun so I used it.

Today as a took a walk I saw a man casting his line into the water of a pond.  I said hello and I asked him if  he caught anything.  He said, " I don't know why anyone would want to fish in this old murky pond anyway". Then  He said, "I did catch a nice sized fish here before."  I told him maybe I would try fishing there sometime.  Then as I walked away I thought,  I wonder if anyone could ever eat a fish that came from that pond.  I thought about this a couple days before as well.  I thought that pond needed to be cleaned and stocked with fish.  Well then God used this scene to speak to me and moved me to write this children's song.
